Chapter 12

"Y/n. Who did you loose?" Chan worriedly looked at me as we stood outside of the room.

"My mom..." The sad feeling back as the thought of my mom came back.

"Y/n..." Chan quickly pulls me into his arms as he holds me tight. I was a little startled from the hug but I hugged back. "I'm sorry. That must have been ruff for you." He hold me tighter.

"It was but I got through it. I just really miss her." My eyes began to water but I held them back. "I-I should go get the information about volunteering now." I pull away from the hug looking down.

"Don't worry she is in a better place now. Hey, lets try not to look so gloom now. How about when your done getting the information for volunteering, we could get some food together." Chan gives a bright adorable smile which made me crack a smile.

"I would like that."

"Now, you said you were lost right? I'll show you where to go." Chan grabs me by the hand and drags me in the direction where to go.

I look down at our hands holding and the sentence that Chan's grandmother said earlier came into my mind.

"Would we make a cute couple? Ah! No don't think like that! Him and I are just friends."

I was lost in my thoughts until Chan stopped causing me to stop.

"This is nurse Kim Jiyoung she helps with the volunteering." Chan introduces me to this tall pretty woman with raven black hair.

"Hello Kim Jiyoung, I'm l/n, f/n. I'm here to volunteer." I greet her with a bow.

"I'll wait for you down stairs when your done." Chan lets go of my hand and heads down stairs.

"Perfect! We need more volunteers for Patient Care Assistant! You will be making sure the patients here have everything they need to be comfortable here. You will be delivering meals or getting them extra pillows, etc. All we need is for you to fill out this sheet and bring it by when you can. Since you are still a minor, I need your parent or guardian to sign it. The next time you see me I'll give you a tour around the hospital." She hands me the paper to fill out.

"Thank you, I'll make sure to give it to you as soon as I can." I thank the nice lady with a smile.

"No problem. I'll see you soon y/n, I'm needed somewhere right now." Kim Jiyoung bids me goodbye and walks away.

All I had to do now was to meet Chan down stairs without getting lost.

This hospital was huge and easy to get lost in if you don't know your way around. But shockingly I made my way down stairs without getting lost. I look for Chan and I see him sitting on a chair by the door while on his phone.

"Hi Chan!" I greet him with a smile as he looks up from his phone a returns a smile.

"Still up for getting food?" He stands up from his chair as he grabs his car keys.

"Yeah." I nod my head yes and we head to Chan's car.

"What did she say? Are you volunteering now?" Chan sounded eager to know as he started the car and drove out of the parking lot.

"Yep, all I have to do is just fill out this sheet and turn it in to Kim Jiyoung. Then I start volunteering!" I jump in the passenger's seat with excitement.

"Your so adorable~!" Chan lets out a laugh causing me to blush from his statement.

He decided to drive us to a nearby cafe that wasn't far from the hospital. We walk into the cafe and we go up to the cashier to order what would like.
