"I still don't get the fact that you have to disappear thirty minutes before the royal dinner with the Northern Family and hide in here." Namjoon said as he plopped down on the couch adjecent to where Jungkook was sitting. "I don't wanna go out there and eat with them. I feel like they're selling me out like a prostitute." Jungkook said with a huff, crossing his arms across his chest dramatically. "Don't you like prostitutes?" Namjoon said sarcastically, earning a scowl from the younger. "Just because I sleep with them doesn't mean I want to be one." Jungkook said as he rested his head on the couch. "Besides, I don't want to face the princess. I feel like she's the bitchy type." Jungkook added, making Namjoon raise a brow. "Don't say such things when you haven't met the person yet." Namjoon scolded as he stood up, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "And you speak as if you met her, hyung." Jungkook retorted, making Namjoon smirk.

"What if I did?" Namjoon said teasingly, earning the attention from the younger who's messing with the globe in front of him. Jungkook scoffed. "As if." He said nonchalantly, not believing Namjoon's words. "She came here earlier. She told me that she was wandering around and ended up in the library. She left after an hour, books in her hand. Four to be exact." Namjoon said as he went over to Jungkook excitedly, grabbing his shoulders. "Four books, Kook, four books." The older said, shaking Jungkook by the shoulders. "No one has went inside this library to read a book, let alone borrow one." Namjoon said excitedly.

"What does her personality have to do with her borrowing four books?" Jungkook asked, rolling his eyes, making Namjoon scowl. "Well, she's kind. And she loves books. And she isn't the typical snobby, bitchy girl that you thought she is. I bet she couldn't even kill a fly." Namjoon said as he plopped down the couch.

"Well, to see is to believe-" Jungkook's words were suddenly cut when the library doors open. "Sir," Jungkook's assistant, Park Jimin, called out as he entered the library. "The- the royal dinner is about to start, the King is waiting for your arrival." He said as he clutched his knees, trying to catch his breath. It was obvious that he ran around looking for the young prince.

"Time to go, Guk." Namjoon said as he took out his watch. "He's right, it's nearly dinner time." Jungkook groaned upon hearing those words and sluggishly stood up and head for the door. "Fine, but I'm only doing this to get this bullshit over with." Jungkook said as he walked away, leaving the library eith Jimin shutting the doors behind him but not before waving Namjoon a quick 'goodbye'.

"Finally, you came." The King said as he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding as he sees his son stride down the hallway. "That's what she said." Jungkook muttered under his breath, a cheeky smirk on his lips. "Hey, I heard that." The king snapped as he grabbed his son by the arm and hurriedly dragged him to the dinning hall where the Northern Family awaits.

"Ah, I see that the prince has arrived." The Northern King, said as he stood up. Taehyung, Seolhee, and Minji did the same as well as Hoseok, Taehyung's assistant. "Yes, of course." King Jeon said sheepishly as he went to his chair, mustering a small smile. Jungkook did the same, giving their guests a bow.

"I apologize for my tardiness." Jungkook said simply before sitting down.

"It's alright, surely you had some important business to attend to." Seolhee suddenly spoke up, the attention now at her, especially Jungkook's. Now, he may not have that perfect 20/20 vision, but the princess was indeed beautiful. Like an angel out of heaven, aside from the sarcasm written all over her face. But Jungkook was too blinded to even notice.

Taehyung slightly nudged her sister on her side, muttering a quiet 'what are you doing' through gritted teeth. Seolhee didn't mind him though.

"Ah, well since we are all here, we won't we have a toast for our upcoming union." The Southern King said, cutting through the tense air. "I agree," the other king said, raising his cup in the air. Soon, the rest followed, raising their cups. "To our union." The kings both said, the others followed.

Well, except for Seolhee and Jungkook, who just looked at each other from different ends of the table, both with the same look in their faces.

Hopelessness
