I kissed Shawn on the forehead before my arms wrapped around him in a tight hug.
"I'll see you soon baby." I spoke as I hugged him. His little body pulled away, tears shining in his eyes. My heart aches but I would see him in a couple days. I had to remember that.
"But mommy why can't I go with you?" He spoke softly.
"Because mommy has to do this quick job for work and you'll come to me in a few days." I smiled looking at my little boy.
"Okay.." he said disappointed. My mother took his hand after saying bye to me and took him out to the car. I smiled waving to him before heading onto my flight to Los Angles.
2 days later
My baby comes back today and I'm just so anxious. I know my mom is taking good care of him but I've never been apart from him this long. Dammit no Sydney, calm your ass down. He's fine. I couldn't think though. All I knew was that my little boy would be here soon and I couldn't wait. I smiled to myself at the thought before my phone rang. I didn't recognize the number but answered figuring it could be my job or something. Working as a model was hard sometimes, but what's new? I knew the job was gonna be hard. But I make enough to support me and my son, plus help my mom with her rent. I hit answer and brought my phone up to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Hello is this Sydney Maple?"
"uh ya that's me. Can I help you?" I didn't recognize the person on the other side of the phone, but I was curious.
"Miss, there's been a accident.."
Suddenly I got nervous. I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. "W-What kind of accident..?" I was really getting nervous because I hadn't even gotten a text from my mom yet either.
"Miss, your mother and son were killed in a plane crash a hour ago..."
My heart shattered. My baby, my everything. My mother. Both gone. My baby, a actual angel now, my mother, gone while watching my baby.
"T..Thank you for telling me..." my voice cracked before hanging up. I broke down. They were really gone...
