The second they walked through the front doors only half a hour after Gazzy told us they were on their way, I knew I was screwed. I immediately started to think of a excuse.
"uh guys I just remembered I have to go somewhere," I started.
Diego gave me a weird look as he passed the newly arrived Stokeley and Isaiah the blunt.
"What do you mean? You said you were-" he started before i cut him off by texting him. He checks it and nods.
"That's right, told her I'd show here around LA again," he played along.
I mentally sighed in relief as I put my shoes on while making sure my back was turned to Stokeley and Isaiah the whole time. I hadn't changed much appart from a piercing and a few tattoos so it wouldn't be hard for them to recognize me, even if it's been five years. Oh and JUST TO MY LUCK the door opened almost hitting me in the face. I stumble back a bit to avoid a door to face collision and manage a glimpse at the fresh arrivals... Michael, Jarad, and him..Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy. Well, my day can't get ANY worse now can it?
"Oh sorry shawty didn't know you was there," Jahseh said casually while offering me a hand up.
I turn my head just enough to grab his hand and stand up before turning my face again.
"Thanks.." I mumble before grabbing the rest of my stuff so I could leave with the now waiting Diego.
"Aye Sy-" Michael started before having his mouth covered by a Now understanding Diego. Jahseh looked confused as I quickly slipped past him in a flash of hair and Latino skin.
"Shawty look I didn't mean to scare ya' off-" he started before the door was closed behind me by a following Diego.
"Thank you, really. I'll tell you the full story in the car." I said gratefully.
"Nah man don't mention it, from as much as I know from before you moved I understand, I mean he cheated on you Syd." He said whilst unlocking his car. I had a quick glimpse at Jahseh looking in the window before I got in the passenger seat, hopeful he didn't recognize me.
