One week ago...
"Jinhwan, can I speak to you?" their original manager spoke softly as he entered Jay's room.
"Of course - is there anything wrong?"
"Nothing," the manager replied as he took a seat on Jay's mini sofa. "There's something I need to ask."
"Shoot."
"Did Ju-ne tell you something? A secret? Something that can potentially ruin iKON for good?"
Jay swallowed. What does he know? he thought. Does he know that Ju-ne is dating Rose? "What makes you say that?" he asked.
"I spoke to him this morning and he acted...differently. Like he was hiding something."
Jay nodded thoughtfully. "What did he say?"
"Nothing. When I asked him if he needs to tell me something, something that the management should prepare for to avoid another BI situation, he told me he had nothing to say."
Jay looked at the floor. At this point, it makes sense to tell their manager, someone they treated like a father for the past years, the truth. But will he risk his friendship with Ju-ne, someone he treated like a brother for years?
"Jay," the manager said softly. "I know you know something."
Jay looked at him. "This isn't an easy decision, you know that."
"It's easy. If Ju-ne has something to hide and you know that it could potentially ruin his future and you other brothers' future, you should do your responsibility as the eldest, especially now that BI is not around to lead you."
At the sound of that, Jay knew exactly what he needs to do. I'm sorry, Ju-ne. "Ju-ne's dating."
The manager looked calm. "Can't say that that shocked me, you are men in your primes after all." He wiped his face with his palm. "Who?"
