It's Our Little Secret (iKON x Blackpink)

friend or foe? (3/10)

+ In the YG basement practice room, lunch time +

If you're a co-trainee or a YG artist who just happened to pass by the basement training room, the first thing you'd wonder about is why the main vocalists of iKON and Blackpink are in the same space. Future collaboration? A secret meeting organized by management? 

The second thing you'd think about is why they're standing so close to each other and why they look so comfortable. No awkward stance or a friendly distance between them exists - just the sort of energy you'd feel and see from two people who look like they're close friends. 

The third thing you'll wonder about is why June, the geeky rock vocalist of iKON, is looking at Rose, the sweet singer of BP's maknae line, so...tenderly.

These thoughts ran through Jay's head as he stared at the couple from the glass door. Every movement June does is killing him, as he knows how much trouble both of them will be if this gets out.

Inside the room, June was looking at Rose's lips with hunger. "What lip gloss are you wearing? What flavor?" he whispered to her. 

Rose couldn't answer. Her mouth suddenly became dry, and her heart was beating so quickly as he was leaning towards her slowly...

That's it - this has to stop, Jay thought. "What are you two doing?"

Rose and June break apart, shocked. 

Jay entered the room slowly, wondering how on earth he's supposed to start the conversation. 

"Hyung!" June exclaimed, breaking into a smile. He and Rose took a step back from each other automatically. Rose was extremely nervous that she had to turn her back at Jay.

Jay's face was blank yet cautious. "What were you doing?" he asked again, staring intently at June's eyes. I mean I know what they were about to do, but why are they doing it? Why are they doing it HERE?

June looked at him softly, almost pleadingly. "Hyung, please." He glanced at Rose who looked like she was about to burst into tears. 

He looked at June, then at Rose. For a second he pitied them, especially Rose, but reality snapped by the very next moment. He glared at June, waiting for an answer. "Well?" he said impatiently. Tell me I'm wrong, tell me that you were working on something. Don't let this be true -

"We were rehearsing a duet," Rose said immediately, a little too loudly. "It's something we've been working on since trainee days." She looked at Jay with intensity. 

June, on the other hand, turned to face her and gaped. What? he mouthed. He sighed silently and closed his eyes in exasperation before turning to Jay. There were already caught red-handed - what was the purpose of trying to hide it? 

Jay scoffed as if he heard a funny yet annoying joke. 

+ On the rooftop of BP and iKON's residence, 9pm +

"You couldn't have just accepted the fact that we got caught?" June said exasperatedly. He was pacing the floor, trying to calm down. 

Rose stared at the tiles. She was sitting down a bench. "I panicked. All I know is I didn't want anyone to know about us yet. If there was any way we could've avoided the situation -"

"But we didn't! Jay's not stupid - he catches on quickly. Now it's a lie on top of another lie - things can get extremely complicated if we let this go on."
