End of the track

Chapter 8: the heist

Two days later

The trio crouched above the train track with Chris on the over look above, They could see the the train's smoke in the distance rapidly approaching. "Remember guys, try not to use your guns." Cal told the girls as the train passed under them, Julia turned and ran to the other side of the arch before jumping onto the roof of the driving cabin.

 Jesse simply jumped down onto the middle cabins where Cal delayed his jump and landed at the back where he then dropped down and smacked the nearest guards head against the railing before drawing a knife and slitting the dazed man throat. At the front of the train Julia had bashed the brains in of the driver before knocking out the assistant with a shovel, She then moved the train into full speed before turning around and making her way to Jesse.

 Thats when she noticed the gatling guns "Guys watch ou......" she never got to finish her sentence as a gun was pressed to the back of her head. "another word out of your mouth and your brains go over the side" It said as a pair of arms took her gun and knife, She was then saw Jesse be dragged out the same. The plan had gone to shite, suddenly the sound of automated fire filled the air from the back of the train, most likely killing Cal.

Cal pressed his hand to his left eyebrow where he was bleeding heavily. not to his surprise there was a cut there, He couldn't hear gunfire further up the train so he thought it was safe to assume that the girls hadn't been discovered yet. As the spray of bullets came to an end, Cal lit a molotov and threw it at the gunner burning the man to death. The poor bloke's screams cutting through the train's roar. 

Cal proceeded to charge forward and to his surprise, Found little to no resistance. As he navigated through each cart, cal found nothing of use to the group which worried him.

As he got to the front near to the front of the train, something hit him in the back of the head. As he sprawled to the ground several men jumped on top of him and securely tied his hands behind his back before dragging him into the coal cart where a tied up Jesse and Julia sat both clearly annoyed. Behind Jesse was Luke Montgomery, smiling psychotically as he caressed Jesse's cheek angering Cal.

Jesse struggled to hold back tears as Luke whispered loud enough for the other two to hear him "thank you for telling us your plan my dear, it's a same we had to scar your body to find out the truth", he the nodded to two of his henchmen who proceeded to cut Julia's bonds and then hold her in an arm lock while a third picked up a axe.

 "Now my dear" he continued " since you have suffered by my hand already you have a choice, you can either have Your best friends arm removed" he motioned to Julia who's face was screwed up in pain "or prince not-so-charming can lose an eye" he motioned to Cal who was angrily trying to escape his bonds "you have thirty seconds to decide or they both die a painful death" Luke finally added as he pulled out a watch and began to count. Jesse watched as Julia began to cry for Chris while Cal kept on fighting. Jesse's eyes and Cal's met for a brief moment each one had it's own natural beauty. "Ten seconds left"

"Nine"

Julia began to thrash wildly alongside Cal in order to escape.

"Eight"

Julia was pinned against the floor with her arm outsretched while Cal continued to struggle

"Seven"

Cal was able to lift his feet up and boot one of the men into a wall before turning round and throwing the other to the floor.

"Six"

Cal was thrown to the floor by several men who hit and stomped on Cal multiple times.

"Five"

Cal was then brought up onto his feet and was slugged in the gut, causing him to fall onto his knees.

"Four"

Cal had stomped struggling now and was panting wildly like a trapped and exhausted animal.

"Three"

Jesse looked into her best friend's eyes and then into Cal's.

"Two..."
Jesse chose her answer.

"Alright fine, Cal! Cut out Cal's eye!"
The watch snapped shut.
