chapter 9: an eye for an eye

The girls were forced to watch as Luke grabbed a knife and blocked Cal from their view, they had to listen in disgust as Cal's screams ripped through the carriage. They could see Cal, struggle to escape Luke's grotesque figure as a blade tore his eye out of his socket. When look had done he held Cal's left eye on the tip of a knife like a trophy, on his knees still Cal was leaned forward panting even more than before as blood dripped from his cheek and onto the floor.

"Pick him up" Luke ordered two of his men who grabbed Cal violently under the shoulders and helped him to his feet. "Now look him in the eye" Luke ordered Jesse, grabbing her face by the cheeks and forcing her gaze at Cal. The poor man was then grabbed by the hair and had it pulled back to expose a bloody and vacant eye socket that had a single stream of blood leak out of it like crimson tears. 

"Remember my dear, his suffering is your fault" Luke whispered in her ears before having his men knock both girls out. Suddenly Cal lurched free and like a wild animal kneed Luke n the stomach, the two guards then grabbed the struggling Cal and dragged him away, all while the rabid man was screaming "I'll kill you!"

Julia and Jesse were tied up in a metal carriage, both were hanging from meat hooks by their bonds on their feet leaving them suspended upside down. When they first woke up like that Luke was waiting for them, Caressing both of their faces.

 "You, Julia my dear, are a fine piece of art work" He told her "I have yet to decide what I want to do with you yet so I recommend that you behave" Julia turned her head in disgust, his breath stank of whiskey and smoke.

 "And Jesse, a true rose of beauty" Jesse flinched with fear as he touched her face "You are gonna be mine, whether its your hand in marriage, being my plaything or simply just your skull. You will be mine, not Cal's, Mine" and with that he left the two alone in the dark and ever rattling carriage. 

Further down the train Cal was taking blow after blow to his body and already damaged face, not that he cared, he was waiting for the signal. Suddenly as his torturers began to walk away, one took a knife to the face, killing him instantly.

 Before the other guy to react cal jumped to his feet and drop kicked the man over the side, where he proceeded to go under the wheels. Chris emerged out from behind some barrels holding his rifle, as he strolled over to Cal he couldn't help but taunt him "Jesus Christ every time I see you you look more uglier than the last." "Piss off" Cal hissed as he was freed from his bonds. 

"Where's the girls?" Cal asked Chris as he collected his things. "I saw the man put them in a meat cart" Cal froze in horror at this before sprinting ahead, the look of fear and anger in his eye. 

Cal ran towards the front of the train leaving Chris behind. he slit the throat of a guard before booting open a passenger cart to reveal a few dozen rich people with children. Chris caught up with Cal to witness something horrible, He watched as Cal raised his shotgun and fired, killing men, women and children in the most painful ways possible And he didn't even flinch. After the massacre cal simply walked over the bodies shooting anyone who was still alive. 

He repeated this until he reached the meat cart which he booted the door open. he then drew a machete and thrusted it to his left, killing a guard who was hiding there. He then marched to the middle of the room where Julia was suspended. He crouched in front of her and asked "Where's Jesse?" "She got taken to the cart across" Julia told him while being freed by Chris. "You two jump of this vehicle now, I'm gonna get Jesse" Cal told the pair before walking out, holding two Revolvers. 

Cal booted open the next cart and gunned down two men before they could even move, he saw Luke bust through the door at the end in a desperate bid to safety, Cal raised one of his guns and fired skimming the murderers right eye and nose. As Luke fell behind cover and crawled to safety Cal shouted "An eye for an eye Luke, remember I'm playing by your rules now" Before turning to his right to see Jesse. 

Her clothes were in rags from where Luke had tried to cut them off and her face had a big red mark from being slapped. "Why is it that every time I see you you've stripped" Cal joked which Jesse slightly laughed at. "so your not mad with me?" She asked scarily as Cal picked her up. "the others might be a tad bit upset, but who said I was?" Jesse beamed up after hearing this. Cal jumped off of the train with Jesse still in his arms and began to walk towards the others. After setting Jesse down he was greeted with a punch.
