The group rushed over to Cal, who was lying on his back. Julia took the dart out of his hand and inspected it, on the tip of the dart was a bit of Cal's blood and a green liquid., she sniffed the dart before screwing up her face in disgust "poison" She said as she put the dart into her satchel in a tin. Suddenly 5 men jumped out from the darkness at the group holding knives. With a ferocious anger, Jesse turned her back on Cal and proceeded to gun down the attackers, ignoring their pleas for mercy. Chris monitored Cal, who was now shivering in shock and coldness. "He needs a doctor" Chris stated earning him an annoyed look from Jesse as she returned, "no shit Sherlock" she said as she took hold of Cal's hand, comforting him. "Julia, where's the closest town?"
"Rhodes, it's just a bit further down the track." She told them.To Chris's and Julia's surprise, Jesse managed to Drag Cal over to her horse, where she barely was able to put him on the back. She then mounted the horse and took off, leaving the others behind. Not that she realised, her only priority at that moment was to save Cal. By the time she had reached Rhodes, Cal's face had turned a deadly pale, his breathing was shallow and irregular. Jesse jolted her horse outside the local doctors and jumped off before slipping the now corpse like Cal off of the back and dragging him into the building where a frail old man stood behind a counter. He was shocked at the pairs arrival but quickly recovered and helped Jesse drag Cal to a bed where he asked "what's going on with this guy?" "some sort of dart hit him covered with a drug" Jesse told him as She stroked cal's head. The doctor looked at Cal before saying "you need to leave so that I can try to help him" Jesse nodded and walked out, suddenly she heard the bolt for the room and a dozen bodies move around. "Hey open up" Jesse shouted as she pounded on the door. Not waiting for the doctor to open the door, she booted it open, knocking the frail old man to the floor and catching the glimpse of someone running through a secret door in a wardrobe, Cal was missing from his bed. Jesse didn't bother to listen to the doctors pleas as she shot him and ran after Cal, The doorway led round back of the building where a carriage was waiting. She could see Cal in the middle of it surrounded by men in masks wearing posh clothes, Jesse fired off her gun in a panic missing everyone on carriage. She fell to her knees and watched as the carriage rode off, taking Cal away from her again.
Jesse didn't want to move, she sat against the side of the doctors building, the law had searched the scene and had let her go free due to the circumstances that had happened. She was still wearing her torn and wet clothes when a man approached her, she didn't look up at him until he spoke to her "This is really depressing to see the daughter of an lord in such a pitiful state. Jesse looked up to see her fathers butler Cromham standing their, Jesse's eyes filled with tears and she jumped up and hugged the man. "would you like to go home miss?" he asked motioning towards a carriage. Jesse looked at it and thought about it before saying to Cromham "On two conditions".
Chris and Julia now sat with Jesse in a carriage heading towards her old family's home. She was nervous to see her family and servants again but didn't want to admit it, As they entered the estate she saw a a group of riders head out in order to find Cal, Jesse prayed that the men would find him, not realising that Cal was closer than she thought.
