Loss

I hear voices.. familiar voices I cant put my finger on it.

I feel something touch my lips
I dont know how long its been.
I hear crying..
The person stops.
I hear a cannon.. my cannon
Its asher..
I hear him crying for me to wake up.

I need to wake up.

My eyes open, As water floods out of my mouth
I cough

I look around and suddanly Im engulfed with a hug, Ashers hug.
I hug him back then he says something that makes me pull away
"W-We lost Amazon we cant loose you.."
I pull away.
"W-What?" I stutter
Everyone is silent

By everyone I mean Asher, Cato and smal little Arch in the corner, huging his legs..
Panic spreads acrost my face

"Where is Amazon?"
No one makes eye contact
Tears fill my eyes
"W-Where is Amazon.." my voice us weak and quivering at the end
Asher hugs me as the tears spill out of my eyes and down my cheeks.
I didnt know her for long but she was like family..
Cato picks up the soaked bags
"We.. need to get moving.." he says looking at the ground.
I know hes right.. but..
"How did Arch even survive? I saw amazon and him behind us when we were running.." Cato is silent and so is Arch..
Asher speaks up..
"A-Amazon told cato to take him and run.."
My eyes go wide..
Cato avoids eye contact..
"Why!?" No one says anything
"Why couldn't she go!?"
This time cato looks up..
Tears in his eyes,
"She was dying.." Im silent
So is everyone else..
Before the games she got diagnosed with some sort of sickness, it would kill her.. especially with alot of pressure..."
I blink,
"Or trying to save someone.. a kid.." i finish staring at the ground..
Its silent but im guessing Cato nodded..
I look up and grab my backpack..
"Lets go.." I mumble..
But then remember the parachute,
I open it, to see a small container,
Its labeled1 with some medicine on it,
"For Amazon" it reads
My hand goes to my mouth as I drop the box.
I run.
And soon the world goes black as I fall over a tree branch..

"I know I overacted" I say
Pain makes me grind my teeth
Asher nods while he finishes treating my hurt leg.

"I just.... cant believe it.. she couldove lived alot longer and..." I say while again everyone is quiet.

"Anyone counted the cannons?" Asher says standing up, evident he'd been crying,
"I think I counted 3.." I say,
I look at the darkening sky, "But its getting night soon anyways"
Asher nods,
"I'll tie up Arch to the tree for the night." Cato says and we nod.

I look at the sky almost compleatly.
Black at this point as the anthem plays,
The names and pictures to
start to play out.

The boy from 2, can't remember his name,
The girl from 6... uhm.. Nala..
Amazon.. from 7,
And that Cat girl from 10.

After watching it I feel tears falling down my cheeks and Asher hugging me.

"Ill take first watch.." he says atanding up and grabing his spear.
I climbs up the tree and fall asleep, It's been a long day..

I wake up hearing a slight beeping noise, like a parachute but fall asleep again, it was probaly just my imagination
