Mai Ding straightened his shirt, making sure it was pulled down in the back. He carried a beautiful bouquet of flowers, each flower a different color, and a single Happy Birthday balloon. He cleared his throat and knocked on the mansion door. He wore a soft yellow shirt because yellow was Sua's favorite color. He wore khaki cargo shorts and simple white Vans on his feet.
It was Sua's birthday today and she had said that she wanted to stay in tonight, just the two of them, and have a homecooked meal. Her family and friends had already thrown her a huge party the previous weekend. For the actual day of her birthday, she wanted to spend it with her Papi, Mai Ding. So she made sure to tell her family to leave the house empty just for them tonight and she gave her maids the night off.
Sua opened the door and was greeted by a huge bouquet of flowers. Mai Ding suddenly pulled them away from his face and grinned.
"Papi! You're early."
Mai Ding waved his phone is her face.
"I know, I know. I was really mean that day huh? I'm still sorry about that."
She poked out her mouth for a kiss and Mai Ding gave her a soft one on the lips. Ever since that day she got fiesty in front of his friends, he was sure to try and respond to her messages within a resonable time frame. He wasn't scared of Sua but she could be pretty demanding at times. But that was also due to how she was raised. Sua came from a very rich family and was used to getting the things she wanted right away. She grew up with mulitple maids and her father employed multiple private drivers. Her and each of her siblings had their own cars. Her mother was a prestigious doctor and her father did lots of business overseas in the West.
She smiled when Mai Ding handed her the balloon and flowers. She wore pale blue, slim fitting denim jeans and a loose yellow tank top, showing off her toned figure. The yellow complemented her tan skin and green contacts. Her thick, jet black hair was in it's signature style: parted in the middle and cascading like a shimmering black waterfall down her back. Mai Ding noticed that she was wearing the gold chain bracelet that he had given her for making it to six months together.
Sua set the flowers above a large fireplace as Mai Ding removed his shoes. The fireplace was solely for decoration because it was far too hot in Thailand to ever need to actually burn it.
Mai Ding turned and watched her as she tried to position the flowers in a way that didn't smash them on one side too much. Sua was tall and slim. She had a sharp, defined jawline that many guys were actually quite jealous of. Standing at 5'11" she was a full four inches taller than Mai Ding but he didn't care. He thought Sua was beautiful. And what he lacked in height, he made up for in his physical fitness.
Mai Ding slowly walked over to be near her but let her finish with the flowers. When she turned around, she saw Mai Ding staring at her.
"What's wrong?" She blinked at him and cocked her head to the side causing her pretty hair to sway. Mai Ding closed the gap between them and wrapped his hands around her waist. She linked her arms around his neck and Mai Ding nuzzled her nose.
"You look...very pretty."
Sua planted a kiss on his nose. "Thank you." She smiled. She went to move away but Mai Ding held tight. She looked at him and he wiggled his eyebrows in a knowing way.
"No, Papi. Uh-uh. We're supposed to be cooking." She pushed away. Mai Ding grabbed tight again and gave her bum a squeeze.
"Later. Okay?"
Mai Ding let go and pouted. She tapped his nose with her finger and walked off, heading for the kitchen, her hair swinging behind her. When Mai Ding entered the kitchen, he saw all the ingredients for the food aready laid out over the top of a large kitchen island. He looked at her quizzically.
