Chapter 2: Hiding the Truth and the Wounds

Lucy's pov

I woke up to see a white ceiling. And bright lights. Everything was fuzzy for a minute before my eyes adjusted. I looked around carefully not wanting to make anyone think I was awake. There was no one in my room but my doctor. Mavis thank god I thought.

I tried to sit up but wince during the process. Mavis saw that I was up. And she helped me sit up. She looked at me with concern. And I gave my world famous fake smile. I had to think on what to say and the first sentence came.

"Mavis have you told anyone yet?" She shakes her head. I let out a sigh of relief.

"Only your dad knows I was about to call your friends..." but I interrupted her

"Mavis, please don't tell them. They probably haven't noticed... I was only here for a night right?" She shakes her head no again

"Lucy you were here for a week." O.O oh god I couldn't help but let a tear fall from my eye.

"Please don't tell them Mavis I don't want them to know about it." Mavis was the only other person who saw her cuts. Dad blamed the gang for pulling a knife on me and making me scream. Of course Mavis believes this and just frowns.

"Okay Lucy" she sighed "you can leave in a week." I sighed.

"Okay but can I use the phone? I need to call one of my friends and tell her that I'm sick and that I should be better soon. They can't know Mavis." With that she handed me my cell phone (so Levy wouldn't know I was in the hospital) I decide to text her because I won't trust my voice
Me: Hey Levy sorry I haven't texted you or called you this week. I've been sick and pretty much asleep all week. Dont worry. Tell the gang I will be back sometime next week.
Levy: OMG LUCY! You scared the living hell outta all of us! Okay I will tell them. Sorry your sick. I'll come by today ^-^
Me: um Levy idk if that's a good idea. My dads home and he's taking care of me and also I will probably go back to sleep I just wanted to tell ya not to worry ;)
Levy: okay lu... I'll tell the others. And I will tell them not to go over because you will most likely be asleep.
Me: thanks levy! Your the best! Now im gonna head back to sleep ;) see ya next week!

I then gave my phone to Mavis she reads what was said and puts the phone away. Mavis and I are good friends she has known me since I was little because she was my moms best friend and has been my doctor my whole life.

"Lucy while your awake you need to eat. You havent ate the whole time you were asleep." She looked at me with concern. I gave her my most sincere look and said,

"Mavis don't worry im not hungry. Just tired." And with that I went to sleep.

    ~Time skip! One week later!~

I had just finished getting my stuff. My back was still cut up and my cuts were still bleeding if moved to much. I had to be careful but still look normal for my friends. So no limping wincing or crying and I have to walk a normal pace. I headed out to the car and my dad took me home to put my stuff in my room real fast. He the gave me a hard slap for being week. I grabbed my favorite black jacket and makeup and he took me to school while I covered the bruise from his new slap.

When I got to the school the bell still hadnt run so I walked over to the sakura tree to wait for my friends. They arrived one at a time smiling and giving me a big hug which im telling you it hurts like hell when your skin still hadnt nearly recovered from being whipped but I would smile and tell them I was fine. The last person to come was Natsu. At first he only saw Gray and of course started to pick a fight but when he saw me he gave me his goofy grin and said welcome back and gave me a hard pat on the back. This time I had winced. I couldnt help it. Everyone of course asked whats wrong. I just told them Natsu was a little hard on me with that slap and winked at them. They smiled and went back to talking except Natsu. He kept looking at me with the beautiful onyx eyes. Beautiful!? Where did that come from!? I felt my face heat up and looked away. He had a smile hint of red on his cheeks.

I felt the trickle down my arm so i knew it was time to change my bandages. I kept a whole lot of them in there that Mavis gave me for my back and wrist.

"Hey guys. Im gonna go to the bathroom." They gave me this weird look... concern?

"Im coming with you lu" levy said. Did they not trust me? Or were they concerned?

"Okay..." crap um good thing I have bandages.

When I got to the bathroom I hurried into a stall and unwrapped my bandages rolled them up. I then grabbed new ones when tears started falling. Mine? I decided I was good without the bandages. What was troublesome was that I had cuts on my legs and both my arms. All of them deep. Some I could tell were from dad but the others were all mine. I unwrapped them all and went pee. I forgot to rewrap then and I suddenly wish I had.

I came out of the bathroom and me and levy went upstairs we got to the fourth floor about when some idiot started running towards us.

"Move!" I didnt move in time and he pushed me. I fell down all four flights but was still conscious. I hadnt hit my head but the pain was overwhelming. I heard yells from levy as she ran down to me. I saw a pink haired boy come and pick me up. The pain was to much and I blacked out from all of it.

I woke up in the nurses office of porliusica (sorry if I spelt it wrong) I sat up trying not to cry when I saw Natsu Levy and Gray sitting around me.

Natsu's pov

I saw Lucy at the bottom of the stairs I ran and picked her up. Gray was with me and Levy ran down to Lucy. Her eyes were still open. But when I picked her up her eyes rolled into the back of her head. Then her eyes closed. I dropped her off in the nurses office and she allowed us to stay with her. Me Levy sat at her side. Her face covered with her bangs. I noticed her arm was bright red and rolled up her sleeve a little. Levy hadn't noticed what I was doing because she was still crying and Gray was just stressed and rubbing his eyes. My eyes widened as I saw her arm covered with deep gashes. I grabbed her other arm angrily and saw that it had even more cuts. And deeper cuts. And that arm was bleeding. What the hell!? I thought I knew Lucy was hiding something because of how much she used the bathroom but this!? I was used to lucy being gone for weeks at a time coming back. with broken bones and other injuries. But I had never thought she would do this! The injuries couldn't have been from her own hand. I really do think its from her being a klutz. Levy and Gray noticed what i was staring at and they to had a look of shock on their faces. Lucy woke up and saw us staring down at her.

Lucy pov

I noticed my sleeves were raised and carefully pulled them down. Their faces covered with shock. Fuck! Play it cool Lucy gang story remember that! Natsu looked at me

"What the hell is that!?" He said while pointing at my arm. Play innocent I thought.

"What us what?" He gave me a look while levy was crying and Gray was the one who spoke next

"You know what! Dont act innocent Lucy! Why the hell would you do that!?" I looked at him and cried just a little. I looked at them and said

"You dont know the real me. You dont know what I go through! Your not my friends! Your just pretending!" I yelled at them. I got up but fell back down. Instead of listening to them I put my head in the pillow and ignored them.

Hey babes! So yeah this is a longer chapter but when I was writing it I didnt think there were any good places to stop. So I kept going! ^-^ what will Natsu, Levy, and Gray do? Will they tell anyone?
