Steven's P.O.V

"Thank you and goodnight, Homeworld!" I conclude.

The thousands upon millions of gems in the stands roar and rave, cheering louder than any football audience ever. Now that I'm finished, the column I stand on begins to sink back into the arena floor like a straw into a soda cup. As I descend, a majority of the gems cry out, pleading and begging me to stay and sing more for them. I don't like disappointing people, but I sadly have to say that I've done all that I can for the night and wave them goodbye. Just before my platform vanishes below ground completely, I steal a quick glance at the Diamonds, curious how they liked their little surprise.

Blue looks like a proud mom, her hands clasped in front of her mouth and the watery tears of joy ever more present in her cerulean eyes. Yellow is a bit different though, which isn't unexpected because she's not known to be as outwardly emotional as her Diamond sister. But yet she's still able to conjure up a warm and happy smile from within the bowels of her otherwise cold and calculating demeanor. White seals the deal with a pose of her chin on her fist and her eyes trailing after me, looking a bit transfixed at my level of performance, which I personally don't think too highly of. I send a wink in the goddess trio's direction and by the time they notice, I've been swallowed up by the stadium floor, the opening above closing like the lens of a camera.

The column doesn't stop moving though, lowering even further down till the inevitable destination of the floor about ten feet below me. Being the daring and risky person I am, I lean forward and peek down at the ground, noticing happily that a certain familiar group of laid back Amethysts are waiting for me. I'll have to find a way to repay them somehow for their efforts. After all, it was them that suggested I do the whole 'rise from the secret lower chamber into the stadium and stand atop a platform to amaze the crowd' kind of maneuver. I had the idea to at least sing my memorized songs to Blue, Yellow, and White, but these guys helped but the icing on the cake, so to speak. Hmm, maybe I'll bring them all food somehow, someway, seeing as Amethyst clearly left that impression on each of them.

"That was some excellent singing, Steven!" Carnelian cheers, clapping with the rest of the Famethyst as the column lowers fully and I step off to walk toward the collected group.

"Indeed" Jasper added, smiling, "Your vocals, pitch, and flow were beyond superb. I doubt even Pink Diamond herself would have stood a chance against you".

I feel a blush spreading across my cheeks from hearing all their praise. Then, from within the bundle, Jay emerges and scoops me off the ground to hold me high up in the like the MVP of a sports game. The others then further accentuate their pride by jumping up and down, hooting and hollering, and saying things like "I knew he could do it!" and "That's my brother Steven!". It's all too real for me and makes me feel so happy that I could almost faint from embarrassment. Or from lack of energy, cus let's face it, those 10 songs really took everything I had. Once the Fam got enough compliments in, or just wanted to give me some space, Jay then sets me down, stepping back to join the small semicircle forming around me.

"Thanks, everyone"  I say, my voice hoarse from all the singing.

They all frown at the change.

"Uh, you alright, buddy?" Chip asks, her pupils zipping back and forth.

I nod and cough, trying to clear my throat.

"Yep" I reply, straightening my posture out, "Just a bit weary from all the 'you know what'."

Jasper smirks, elbowing Skinny, who elbows her back, which then turns into a back and forth elbow war. It then evolves into a wrestling match, with Skinny tackling Jasper over and the two rolling around on the ground playfully. Chip and Carnelian even join in the fun at one point, head-locking Jasper and pinning her to the ground. Believe me, I'd have loved to get in on all the action, but I was starting to feel really drained all of a sudden. And not only that, but I also now feel excessively dizzy.
