The next day you walked towards your locker and put in the combination. There was another note stuck in between the locker slots. This time the paper was blood red and shaped into a heart. You lightly outlined the heart with your finger. It had four slits in the middle and when you open it there was a poem written inside.

"I may never find words beautiful enough to describe all that you mean to me, but I will be spending the rest of my life searching for them," you said out loud.

"Isn't that from John Mark Green?" Mingi asked as he looked over your shoulder to see the note.  He startled you and you felt the warmth of his body behind you as he was so close to you. You glanced at him and you saw him examining the note carefully. You had a strange urge to kiss his cheek since it was so close to your mouth. But a strange feeling held you back. "Mingi you have to help me figure out who is the one sending me these letters. This has been going on for so long. Who can be that into me?" you asked him quietly.

He stared at you curiously and said, "Do you have any leads?" Frustrated you closed your locker and moved away from him. "If I did Mingi, I would have a boyfriend by now," you said under your breath. You then left for your first class of the day, which was with Mingi but you didn't wait for him. You felt like he was hiding something from you, but you didn't know what. Once in class, your teacher asked you to do some partner work. Mingi's deep voice called out your name, "Y/N, let's do this together." You gave him a look but went with him anyway. You didn't speak to him while you were doing your work, and he noticed that there was something wrong.

"Y/N, are you mad at me?" he asked you with sad eyes.

"I'm not mad Mingi, I just really want to find out who these notes are from and I feel like you know something about them," you replied in a huff. He tilted his head back and sighed. "Yes, I do know something about those notes. I've been the one who's been putting them into your locker," he said. You blushed profusely and your eyes grew wide, was he confessing his love to you?

"Yeah, I put them in there-- for a friend. I'm sorry," he said awkwardly. "So then who is your friend, Mingi?" you asked curious about the situation. "I-I can't tell you, I made a promise and I can't break it. Y/N, I'm sorry," he told you. You took a minute to think of what was happening and you began to tear up. You half wished it was  Mingi who was writing all these letters to you, but now that you know the truth your heart sank.

"I know this is the wrong time to mention this, Y/N, but I've recently started dating someone. She doesn't go to this school, but you know... I just wanted to let you know," he said softly. "Oh okay, Mingi, that's great that you're dating someone. I hope you're happy with her," and with that, you got up from your seat and sat by yourself in a corner-- not wanting to talk to anyone.
