"Oh, my God! Did you get another one?" Sarah exclaimed at you as you open your locker and a small deep rose paper square falls to the ground. You blushed and bent down to pick it up.
"I guess I did," you said quietly. You hold it in your hand, it was folded carefully and it smelled like cologne.
"What? Is this like your fifth one this week? Do you even know who it is from yet?" Sarah asked.
"I have no idea, but every single one is different. I don't recognize the handwriting or anything," you replied to Sarah. Even if you didn't know who it was, there wasn't a day that you didn't wonder who it could be. Someone out there was thinking about you constantly, so constantly that they write you sweet messages almost every day. You closed your locker and were thoughtfully thinking about who it can be, when Mingi appeared out of no where.
"Hey, Y/N. Ready for our study date?" he asks you in his very deep voice. He smiles sweetly at you, almost shyly, despite being friends for years.
"Haha, yeah, but it's not a date date," you said, and you watched his smile turned smaller but he didn't say anything. Sarah said her goodbyes and then you followed Mingi to his car. He opened the passenger door and you slide in the car. Mingi always picked you up to go to school and he always took you home. Mingi insisted on driving you back and forth when he got his license. He knew about the times you would get bullied in the bus, it got so bad that one day, you went home with a concussion. Your bully decided that slamming your head against the window would be fun. That was in Jr. high school, but you still remembered how upset Mingi was when he found out.
You smiled to yourself. Mingi was such a sweetheart, all of your friends always thought you were dating but you always denied you were. After Mingi got in the car, you turned to face him and smiled at him. He looked at you curiously before breaking your gaze to turn on the car. "So the library?" you asked him.
"Actually, let's go to my house," he said, and you gave him a surprised look.
"We never study at your house. Will your parents be okay with it?" you said worriedly.
He gave you a funny look. You've been to his house countless times, but not when his parents weren't there. "Yeah, they won't be home until late today and my siblings will be out and about with their friends. We'll be alone and it'll be super quiet," he said as you scrolled through your social media.
"Okay, that's fine. Whatever the princess Minki wants!" you replied as he gave you a cringed look.
