Everyone can be misunderstood sometimes. A situation can escalate, which can lead to people fighting. But at the end of it all, they often make up and move on with their lives. It's a part of our journey after all. One of many factors of life. Things we all do, whether or not we do it in a similar way as someone else, or choose to take a whole different path which leads up to similar results. Same thing goes for adventures only a few individuals will ever experience.
"But what if you have never experienced reconciliation outside of your own family?"
Except for small fights in school, making peace was apparently out of the question for a lot of people Niko knew. She hates confrontations and is always on the verge of crying each time someone raises their voice out of annoyance or impatience. This is just one of many thoughts she has almost every single day, and she wishes for some answers. But sadly, answers for these kind of problems is hard to come by in Japan, and that is making her more and more frustrated as years go by.

Niko was lying down on her bed, hoping her nerves would calm down a little. Her family had recently moved to the other side of Tokyo when it became clear that she needed to change schools. Leaving people you have known for many years is already difficult for most people, but it's a bit harder for those who cannot take changes as well as the average person.
Her father Nobuyuki had to leave his old job, but it didn't bother him much, since his daughter's well-being is more important to him. She couldn't help but feel a bit bad about it though. He has been working in the field of animal-assisted therapy for a long time, with old co-workers who have been there for as long as he has. It's not that often you find yourself in a working environment with really cooperative colleagues like them. Not all workplaces have nice people you can trust, but that's reality. Why is it so hard for most people to understand each other?
"Niko! You're overthinking again.."
She slowly turned her head around to face the source of the voice. It wasn't her father, because the pitch was way too high to be his voice. Neither did it belong to her calico colored Norwegian Forest cat, Tamotsu. He was lying next to her feet, looking in the same direction she does. But he couldn't see anything there.
However, Niko could. The one floating a meter away from her is a "spirit" who has been following her for over a year now. She's shaped like a white, pink and blue-colored dango with a tail that ends in a pink, heart-shaped tip, black simple-looking eyes and small tufts of hair on their head. Sometimes she even have a pair of hands popping out of nowhere with no limbs connecting them to her body whatsoever. It looks so odd, it's more like something you would see in an anime.
"Oi! Don't space out on me!"
"I'm not. I just thought...-" The teen was interrupted by her small companion waving her small hands in front of herself. "You just thought about my appearance again, right~?" She also happen to have all of Niko's thoughts and memories, which she loves to use against her to cause a scene. But she does it in order for Niko to overcome them, since she always avoid conflicts whenever she can. That alone can be really annoying for the average person, but if you're a timid, anxious and overthinking girl like Niko, depending on what kind of situations she would have to face, it sure can feel like hell on Earth.
"Yes.." The teen turned her head slightly to stare at the ceiling. "You cannot hide anything from little Turu~" That's true, pun intended. Whatever she might be thinking about, Turu will always be aware of it. It's rather creepy to be honest, having someone know everything you think and feel, like an another you. An exaggerated version of yourself to put it simply.
