Romans POV

Blood was seeping out of Virgils back at an alarming rate, my hand was covered in his blood that was now starting to drip down my arm.

I gently picked him up, he was as light as a literal feather, it was concerning. I look around now noticing that Patton and Logan had moved to tower over something, or someone.

Logan was holding tightly on to a thrashing Patton, anger clear in Patton's features as he trys to beat the thing senseless.

I walk over to them, Virgil still in my arms. I look at the person, knowing exactly who it is
. Remus.

"Patton stop being irrational, the queen can lock him in the dungeons, we don't need to beat him to a figurative pulp." I sigh, "why not" I say shrugging, "he deserves it, doesn't even seem like Virge was fed".

Remus shook his head rapidly, I kinda hoped his neck would break at how fast he was shaking it, "we gave him food, he wouldn't eat it, claiming that it was poisoned", that did seem like a Virgil thing to say.

I whispered to the others, "let's take Virge back to the kingdom before he bleeds to his death, Logan can take rat man". Patton and Logan nod, Patton following me in the direction of the castle as Logan grabbed asshat.

'I can take you'

I turn my attention towards the dragon who was looking directly at me, it was seemingly following me. "is it easier, and can you carry all three of us?", 'I can try', I shrug "sure".

Patton gives me a weird look before following towards the dragon, I hand Virgil over to Patton as I climbed on top of the creature. I reached down and hoisted Virgil up, gesturing to Patton to follow.

He walked up to the dragon, Pyro let out a rawr, shocking Patton away. Soon, Virgils griffin flew down from the sky and next to Patton, sitting down and waiting for Patton to get on.

Patton smiled brightly before hopping giddily onto the feathered animal. The creatures roared before shooting up into the air and towards the castle.

I looked at the ground, seeing Logan climbing onto his wereraven, with the prisoner as well, soon they were up in the air as well, flying in our direction.

It took about ten minutes before we arrived at the castle, it felt like hours as I watched Virgil bleed out infront of me.

We landed softly on the ground as I watched Patton scream, the griffin dived at full speed towards the ground. Logan and dip shit followed calmly soon after. We all jumped off of our rides and carried on into the palace.

The large wooden doors of the barrier could be seen from our position. The castle walls stood high above the rest of the village, being made of stone on the outside and of a soft white quartz on the inside.

We opened the castle doors and stepped onto the ball room floor, walking up a case of stairs and down a hall towards the throne room.

My mother would be in the throne room, probably redesigning the entire thing. Throwing away any trace of the king, who was apparently executed while we were gone.

We stumbled through the doors and into the, now painted red, throne room. It's a drastic change from the plain pale blue walls of the old king.

Mother sat at the throne, wielding a passive aggressive smile that seemed to make each of us uncomfortable. She cleared her throat and gestured for us to speak, before anyone could talk I stepped in front of Logan and Patton, showing her Virgil.

She seemed to hold in a gasp, "w-what? GUARDS!", she ordered, four guards entered the doors in a rush. They took one look at the queen, then to Virgil, before bowing, two guards took Virgil away while the other two took Remus from Logan and in the opposite direction. Obviously the dungeons.

She sighed sadly, a look of worry displayed on her face. "what happened Roman?", he asked softly. I recalled the events of that day, the events I knew about atleast.

She nodded, seemingly thinking, "what specifically did Remus do to Virgil?", she asked. I looked to the other two, receiving shrugs, I looked back to my mother, "we don't know mother, he didn't tell us the specifics", I told her.

She signalled her royal advisor, Remy, to her side. Whispering into his ear, we watched as he walked calmly out of the room and in Remus' direction.

We all looked back to the queen for answers, receiving a shrug and a goofy smile. I sighed, dismissing myself and heading towards the infirmary to see the little emo being we call Virgil.
