Emilie's POV

I groan and turn to my right. First day of school. Can't wait. Note sarcasm. But what's really great is that, it's the first day of school to everyone, what I mean is I didn't come in the middle of the year, which would cause too much attention.

For the past two weeks, I've been going to the same lake. The boy, which I met well, saw was also there. He doesn't talk and I am thankful for it. Sometimes I go there before sunrise, and other times I go there before sunset, and other times I stay the whole day. I usually get there before the boy, you know what, I am going to call him Hazel boy . What, I honestly like the color of his eyes. I have a light shade of blue eyes, with dark brown hair that falls just above my chest.

I get up from my comfy bed, thank god I don't have a problem with mornings, unlike mom. Speaking of my mother, I didn't quit see her a lot, in fact when I go to the lake, my mother is at home, and when I come back, she's at work. Other nights I hear her... cry, because my father decided to cheat! i don't really know what to do I mean should I comfort her? or..

I take a nice cold shower. I like to take cold showers in the morning to waken up.

I look through my closet and pick a black shirt with the word; GIVENCHY PARIS written in white, I match it with light blue jeans. I decided to bring a black leather jacket, just in case it gets cold.

I stand in front of my mirror to do my hair. I decided to blow dry it and curl the ends slightly, then I leave it open. I am hesitating if I should wear my black cuffs. Yes, I wear cuffs. I live for them. I decided against wearing it and jog downstairs to the kitchen.

I find a note from my mother wishing me a good first day of school. She's already at work.

I check the time on my phone. I still have thirty minutes before school starts, and school is like ten minutes away from my house. I searched for it one time the past week. I decided to head to Starbucks since I am not in a mood to make something.

Fifteen minutes later I am in the parking lot of the school. Some people are staring at my car. Shit, I knew it would attract attention, and honestly my plan for this year was to be invisible as possible. Guess the plan went down the drill. I get out of the car my pack bag dangling on my shoulder. I am wearing my leather jacket since when I got out of the house it was a little bit chilly.

As I head to the main door, I whisper to myself " another school year begins". Some students are giving me curious glances. It's like they never had any new student in a really long time. I walk through the hallways with students still looking, more like staring at me. I just keep my head down and keep on walking.

A girl came up to me, she has bright ginger hair that falls under her chest, with blue eyes. She's wearing a white crop top and some jean shorts. Guess she's used to the weather here. I heard that the town is pretty cold, so I guess this is normal for her.

"hey, you're new?" she asks me. I nod

"well, I am Sydney. Sydney Brooke " she introduces herself.

"Emilie, Emilie Andrews" I introduce myself. This is how it works, right? I mean in my old school I only had one friend, and she usually does all the talking and I listen.

"nice to meet you, so do you need help?" she asks me. God yes, I do. "yea, do you know where the principal's office is?" I ask quietly. She nods " follow me" and so I do.

She talks. A lot. She keeps on telling me who is who, then tells me to not mess with who and so on. We arrive at the principal's; I tell her a quick 'thank you' before I knock.
