I never realized how hard it is to open your eyes when you wake up a pounding headache before. Opening my eyes slowly the throbbing in my head Immediately gets worse, bringing the bed sheets up and cover my head with them in order to dim any light in the room.

After a few minutes, I can finally focus on something other than the pain in my head. As soon as I relax I notice someone knocking on my door and asking if they could come in, instead of waiting for an answer they open the door and walk in.

"Danny?" It's Jazz and she sounds concerned . "Danny, are you okay?" Her voice is gentle and quiet.

"My head is killing me Jazz," I groan.

"I'll go get you some medicine, I'll be back in two minutes," She says quieter than before and steps quietly out of the room.

True to her word it only takes her two minutes to get the medicine, a glass of water, and get back in the room. She sets the pill bottle and glass on my table before she goes to shut the blinds and close the door. "It should be safe to come out now brother."

I hesitate before pushing the cover off and opening my eyes, sighing in relief when the pain doesn't get worse. I reach for the pill bottle and pour two pills out onto my hand and into my mouth, accompanied by the water soon after and then they were gone.

I look up at jazz and before I could ask what was on my mind she told me. "Mom and Dad are out hunting ghosts and won't be back until late tonight. As usual," she rolled her eyes before turning concerned ones back to me. "Don't you worry about going to school today, if you force yourself you'll just make yourself sicker."

"You're the best Jazz," I smile up at her.

She gently ruffled my hair before turning back toward the door, "I'll be up soon with breakfast for you. Don't get out of bed unless you have to, and if your ghost sense goes off. Leave it to mom and dad even if they won't be able to catch the ghost."

"Okay Jazz. Also, thanks for doing this for me."

"You don't have to thank me Danny, I'd do this for you anytime." She gently shut the door behind her as she left.
