BREANNE P.O.V
My mind and heart rate were racing to see which one could cause me to collapse the fastest. I couldn't think straight, my head was pounding and I felt like I was losing myself. All of this was too much to take in all at once.
"What do you mean?" I questioned Meg.
"If you two do not figure out what is bringing or has brought you two together, the result could be extremely lethal. The effects that these dreams are having on both of you aren't too great. There could be a chance that maybe, just maybe you could stop breathing and possibly die in your sleep," Meg nervously mumbled.
I was having trouble breathing and I was choking on the little air in my throat.
"Breanne?" Aaron called, voice full of confusion and worry.
I couldn't stand straight and the world below me felt like it was disappearing. The next thing I knew, everything went black.
AARON P.O.V
I held Breanne's head in my hands and stroked her long brown hair. Then all of a sudden everything went blank.
"Meg knows more than she's letting on." a voice whispered.
"She knows what it takes to keep you two alive."
With that the voice was gone. Everything came back and I saw Meg playing with her hands looking at her feet.
"What are you not telling me?" I questioned.
"What do you mean?" she asked innocently.
"Don't play that game with me Meg, you know something and you're not telling us!" my voice slightly rose.
"Th-that's not true." she claimed and by the look in her eyes I knew she was lying.
"You know how to save us and you'renot going to tell us for your own selfish reasons!"
"It's not like that." she began to weep.
"Really Meg, because that's exactly what it seems like." I retorted scooping up Breanne from the floor and threw her on my shoulder, making my way to the door.
I tossed Meg one last nasty glare before walking out and slamming the door behind me.
