A Royal Proposal

I wake up before Shiny and get the mail like I usually do, after that I went to make breakfast for me and Shiny.

I get breakfast ready for Shining Armor and go to take a shower, as I walked in the room Shining Armor is still just waking up. I smile and I nuzzle his cheek softly, "morning Shiny sleep well?" He smiled, nodded and kissed my forhead as he went down to eat his breakfast, I took my shower and headed downstairs.

I told Shiny I was heading into town to get some supplies, so I trotted into town and looked around. As I got to Sugar Cube Corner, I saw Ash sipping coffee as usual, I smiled and galloped over to her "hey Ashes, sipping your coffee as usual?" She smiles at me and replied, "yeah I need my coffee in the mornings, can't function without it."

I laughed a bit and talked with Ashes for a while before heading home, I was getting ready for Hearts and Hooves Day which was in 2 days and I needed to get Shiny's gift ASAP. As I got home I started to think about what to get him, I walked in to see the house empty with a note on the table by the door, "Dear Moon, gone out with some friends from the Royal Guard will be back by dark, don't overwork yourself again, love Shiny."
I sighed and cleaned up the house then made myself some dinner, as I was eating I got a letter from Big Mac asking if I could help him hang some decorations for Hearts and Hooves Day. I thought that was weird cuz he doesn't really have a special somepony yet.. does he?
I shrugged then told him I would be there soon and headed out to Sweet Apple Acres, when I got there I saw Big Mac waiting for me, I smiled and hugged him, "ready to decorate?" And of course he replied with his usual, "eeyup," I laughed and we were able to get a lot done but I got tired and decided to go home and call it a night.

OH MY CELESTIA ITS HEARTS AND HOOVES DAY!!

Shiny had been acting weird since he came home that night, he's been kind of distant from me which honestly worried me a bit. I was up before Shiny so I made him some breakfast before heading out to get his gift for Heart and Hooves Day, as I was heading to Sugar Cube Corner I ran into Twilight.

We had a nice chat for a couple hours before I headed home with a special cake I requested for today. I walked inside to an empty house again with another note.. but this one was different:

Dear Moon,
Meet me in the middle
Of Sweet Apple Acres
Love, Shiny

I was kinda surprised but I grabbed the cake and headed to Sweet Apple Acres. As I got there I saw a candlelit trail, I followed the trail while looking around in awe at all the lights on the trees.
As I got to the end of the trail I saw my Shiny with a picnic blanket and basket laid out, I smiled as tears started running down my face, "Shiny... you did all of this... for me..?"

Shiny smiled as he came up to me and kissed my muzzle, "of course I did.. I love you so much and I'm sorry I was so distant these past couple days.."
I shook my head while nuzzling my cheek against his shoulder, "it's okay, just don't worry me like that again..!"

He chuckled in response before we sat down and just talked for what seemed like hours, I was looking up at the stars when I felt Shiny tap my shoulder.
I turned around to see Shiny down on one hoof, tears started running down my face as he said, "Moon.. we've been through so much together, being with you has been the best thing that's ever happened to me.. you've always been there to love and support me as I have been there to love and support you. I've been thinking about this for a long time.. I want to be by your side for the rest of our lives... Moon Shadow.. will you marry me?"

I couldn't stop the tears from falling, I was so shocked but so happy to know that he wanted to be with me forever until death... I nodded rapidly as the tears kept flowing, "YES YES YES! A THOUSAND TIMES YES!"
We both nuzzled eachother as Shiny wipes my tears away with a soft smile on his face as he leaned down slightly and kissed me, I kissed back.. I felt like I was the happiest mare in all of Equestria, "I love you so much my Shining Armor."
He smiled back at me as he kissed my forehead, " I love you too my Moon.."
