I stood in the middle of a glade, no trees to shelter me from the timid spring sun. I had tried to stay away from the two boys, but somehow, one of them found a way over to me. Why had Chiron let boys come on this quest? Everyone knows how Hunters feel about boys. Especially him, of all people. After all, the Hunters had visit Camp Half-Blood many times before.

"Hey. My name's Liam. What's yours?" said the boy as Lyra and one of the camper girls were talking about a plan.

His eyes were green with flecks of blue and gold in them. His dark brown hair fell in waves over his head. His skin was alabaster, much different from mine, which is tan. He wasn't the worst looking boy I had ever seen... but he was male, and that made him little more than dirt.

I glared at him. "The girl who's going to hit you—very hard, in the face—if you don't leave me alone. So be wise and go away." I crossed my arms and waited for him to leave.

To my surprise, Liam just smiled. "Nice name. Seriously, what's your name?"

"Kat. Now, leave me alone."

He just leaned closer. "Cat like the animal?"

Can he not take a hint? I moved away. "No. Kat with a 'K'."

"Cute." He moved closer.

I put my hand out to keep him from coming within one foot of me. "No, not cute. Can you just leave, please?"

Liam smiled slightly. "I seem to have lost my phone number. Can I have yours?"

I rolled my eyes. Why couldn't he just leave me alone? "I don't have a phone. It's too dangerous. You should know that... As stupid as boys are."

"Aw, don't be mean!" he pouted. Then his smile returned, wider than before. "You see my friend over there?" Liam pointed to the other boy, who was talking with Hannah, who looked just as annoyed as I did. "He wants to know if you think I'm cute."

"Hm... no." I promptly slapped (not too hard, though) him and walked over to Robyn. Atlanta, Rhea and Hannah were talking off to the side. I guess Hannah got tired of her male as well. Not surprising, if the other one was like Liam.

"That was a little harsh, don't you think?" she asked, giggling. She had long, blonde hair up in a French braid. Her sea green eyes twinkled with mischief. Her bright eyes stood out against her pale skin tone.

I crossed my arms. "Nothing is too harsh for a male."

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Have you met everyone yet? It would be nice to get to know each other before going on a quest like this."

I shook my head. "No. I've yet to meet the other male and the girls. Although, I could do without meeting the other boy."

"C'mon. Let's go meet them. You'll only need to be in his presence for a few minutes. " I shrugged reluctangly and followed Robyn, who led the way over to one of the girls. "Hi. I'm Robyn, and this is Kat. What's your name?"

The girl smiled. She had long, bright red hair, and sky blue eyes. "Hi. I'm Emma, daughter of Hermes." Her smile became a little strained. "I've, um, heard some rumors about you guys not aging in appearance. Is that true? How old are you guys?"

Robyn smiled back. "I'm eighty-nine."

"I'm twenty."

Emma's face fell. "Wha... how?"

I laughed. "As Hunters, we're immortal. We get older, but we stay looking the same age as we were when we joined."

Emma looked awed. "Cool! So who's the oldest and who's the youngest?"
