Liam's POV

Now, taking Noah's advice, I sat with him for the rest of the time we flew to Camp as Kat slept. Kat had said she wanted to tell me a secret, but it couldn't be that important, or she would have told me on the spot.

"Dude, listen to me. Liam?" Noah had been waving his hand in front of my face calling my name.

I sighed. "Sorry, Boat. I was distracted."

Noah crossed his arms. "Number one, don't call me that. You know I hate it when you connect me to a stupid boat. Number two, you need to clear your head of all Kat-related thoughts. You seriously need to forget about her."

"That's just it. I can't. She's just... there. It's like she's the first thing that comes to mind..." I looked down at my thumbs which I was twiddling. My ADHD was acting up. I absolutely hated closed spaces and this bus was certainly a closed space. The walls seemed to close in on me and it was a little hard to breath. I managed to cope though... Did Kat have ADHD? I wonder. She's pretty calm and collected, so probably not... but did being in the Hunters tone ADHD and dyslexia down? Maybe... Perhaps I could ask... No. They wouldn't tell me that. Maybe I could ask her when she woke u--

"Liam, man, you're distracted again!" Noah pinched me.

"Ow!" I complained. Rubbing my now-reddening area, I looked back at Kat, sleeping quietl-- "Where's Kat?" I asked, alarmed.

"What do you mean?" asked Olivia. "She's right... Um, Liam's right. Kat's not there."

There was much yelling and accusations, most pointed at me. "I didn't do anything! I'm just a Nike kid, I can't do much!" I protested.

"C'mon, dude. You must have done something. Everyone knows you've got a sweet spot for her," said Noah. I glared at him. He raised his hands in a defensive manner. Huffing, I turned to the Hunters.

"What did you do with Kat?" I accused.

Let me tell you from experience, that you don't want to mess with an angry Atlanta. She reached over Noah and pushed me against the side of the bus. "We wouldn't do anything to Kat. But you wouldn't know that, because you are a boy and don't catch onto things very quickly. Why would we make our best friend disappear? Hm?"

I shrugged. "Maybe because you're like Rhea and you want to get rid of her?"

Atlanta slapped me. "Don't you ever say that to me, you hear?" I nodded and put my hand to my cheek. She pushed me once more before glaring and sitting back down, where Hannah tried to calm her down.

"Ow," I muttered. Looking back at where Kat had been lying, I thought I saw a shimmer in the air from the corner of my eye. Frowning, I got up and walked down the aisle. Yup. There was a definite shimmer in the air. Mesmerized, I reached forward to touch it. The sparkle moved. I reached foward again but came up with nothing.

I growled and snapped my hand out, this time successfully snatching the sparkle out of the air. Cupping it between my hands, I peeked in and gasped.
