RECAP: (This is a quick little recap on what’s been going on so far since someone asked for it and because I suck at updates so you guys are probably getting lost)
After Maddison saw a guy playing a guitar and singing around the estate and out of grounds his identity unknown she continues to keep an eye open for anything else mysterious and when she actually finds something (a note) it is taken from her hands and into Mason's but Maddison plans on getting it back. With some very hard work Maddie got herself on the track team and is now the hoping new star to help the track team get back on the bill boards at school, she just won her first race since the accident but she also just meet the girl who might be her one true enemy in track. The Millers are having a party for her win but being a bit over-whelmed Maddie went outside and at the end was kissed by Luke for unknown reasons. But the biggest secret of all...
Chapter 24~ Karaoke with Friends
"Who's Will?" I asked walking down the stairs with Mason, it was the morning after the party and we were left with a huge mess to clean up by tomorrow when Linda and Mr Miller come back
"....Who?" Mason cleared his throat
"You're really bad at acting" I commented at his bad attempt at throwing me off
"Am not"
I stopped and looked at him
"Please tell me" I pouted but he just brushed it past continuing down the stairs
"Come on we need to clean up, we can't rely on the cleaners to clean this all up" he said as he began to pick up empty and half empty red cups
I sighed but began to help
Half an hour or so later and we were pretty much all done
"Hey Mason"
"Yes Maddison?"
"Maddie" i corrected but continued
"But anyway where's Thomas?"
"Why?" Mason wiggled his eyebrows
"Not like that" I punched his arm
"I mean like I haven't seen him since before the race so..."
"Oh I dunno, he just goes away sometimes then comes back like nothing happened, ever since ... the thing he's been in his own state of mind"
"The thing?"
"Oh um ... nothing I mean yeah nothing" Mason began to walk away
"Anyway I should um... go check the... bathroom! Yeah for people ya know" He smiled awkwardly
"I checked...” he walked out of the room
"The bathroom already...” I sighed and continued to clean until it was all done but the only thing playing on my mind was, what was the thing and why did it effect Thomas so badly but once I was finished cleaning I didn't have much time to think about it anymore because I got a phone call
"Hello?"
"Maddie! Hi it’s Bell" I heard the familiar voice say through the phone
"Oh hey Bell, I didn't see you at the party...?"
"Oh yeah I was with Jack"
"Jack?" I smirked
"Yeah um I'll tell you about that later but right now come outside we're waiting"
"We?"
"Yeah me, Chloe, Paul and Luke"
My throat went dry when Luke's name was said
