A Muffled Scream

People in old Cornoa left there houses hearing the commotion, only to stop once they saw what had happened. They kept quiet but only one muffled scream was heard.
 
Cassandra took steps back almost falling over, as her power drained. The chitters Rudiger made died out only to be over come by a muffled scream.

  Varian clutched his head, curling into a tighter ball. Shaking his head to make the scream go away only to find out, he was the one screaming.

  Varian's screams filled the air, causing his throat to scratch and hurt. Clear crystal tears dropped to the ground with silence. After a minute he was finally able to stop screaming but his breathing never calmed down. He tried and tried but nothing worked he was to scared and confused on what had happened he couldn't calm down. He finally brought his head downed and curled up. Varian soon felt warmness around him, he looked to see a white void and his mom holding him in a hug.
 
"M-mom..?" Varian said as he saw her warm smile. "Hey sweetie" She said as a tear escaped her eye. He unraveled and hugged her tightly, he began to cry. "I-I don't know w-what to d-o, I c-can't stop it...!" He said recalling what happened a couple of minutes ago. "Oh honey, don't worry the past will soon be clear and all your questions will be answered" She said with a calm voice as she proceeds to pet his hair. "B-but what abo-ut you?" He said slightly letting go of his hold on her. "I will never leave you Varian" She stroked his cheek before kissing his forehead and fading away, revealing the rocks again. Varian slammed his hands on the rocks. "Mom! Wait!!! D-don't leave! dont leave..." He said looking down as his hand slowly slide off the rocks.
 
The rocks finally began to slowly slide down back into the ground breaking the darkness with the sun. Varian shielded his eyes from the blinding light as he stood up. His eyes fell on his surrounding as he saw the people in shock. The villagers all stood and stared at each other to figure out what happened. Cassandra then grabbed her sword and ran towards Varian. She then threatened them all before grabbing Varian's hand and running to his house. As each passing house grew smaller in distance his house only grew bigger. As they came apon his house Cassandra brought her hand out and wave her hand around the ground. Making rocks appear to make a barrier around the house so no one could get in. She opened the door and pulled Varian in with her. "We must hurry, the guards will be alerted soon." She grabbing food and materials from the kicthen. She pulled a bag out and threw it to Varian. "Go down to your lab and grab stuff!" She said she finished looting.
 
Varian huffed and dropped the bag with a thud. "No..." Cassandra stopped and stared at Varian. "W-what?" Varian clenched his fist, "I said NO! I deserve answers! I should at least know how the hec-k I j-just.." Varian said looking at his hands. Cassandra sighed "Varian nows not the time! We have to hurry!" She said before pushing him down to his lab. Varian smacked her hand away and stood still. "We have the power to fight them and they won't come that quickly, right now I deserve answers!" He said slightly holding his breath. Cassandra stopped and stared at the ground. "I didn't think I would have to tell you this early but I guess I have to" She said as she looked at him.
 "It's time that the past is revealed."

A/N: Well it seems Varian is gonna learn why he has this power! Anyway SPOILER ALERT FOR SEASON 3. I'm so glad Varian is now a good guy! I'm also happy that Varian's dad is back and we get to see Varian work with Rapunzel! I cant wait see more of his character, anyway thank you again for reading and byeee!!!
