Professor Samuel Oak was the leading Pokemon expert in all of Kanto. He is well known for his research on human and Pokemon relationships. He had a son, and two grandchildren. His son's name was Conner, and his wife's name was Caroline, abut he and his wife had gone on a business trip to the Johto region. They had left their children, Blue and Daisy Oak, in the care of his father. Professor Oak was a 50 year old man who loved his family very much, and had deep care for the Pokemon at his care.
Blue Oak was a 14 year old boy, just like Red. Red and he had been best friends ever since they were on diapers. They had dreamed of becoming Pokemon trainers ever since they could pronounce the word Pokemon. And now, the day that he and Red finally get their Pokemon has finally arrived.
"Daisy! Have you seen my pack?" asked a very annoyed Blue. "Please tell me you have. I'm gonna be late to get my Pokemon, and I don't want Red to get there before me. I have to get there first!" Daisy, Blue's 17 year old sister, was in the kitchen finishing off breakfast. "I'm pretty sure he's eating breakfast. Now hurry up down so we can eat!" she yelled out from the kitchen. "Man, I'm hungry!"
Blue finally found his grey pack with all his stuff and clipped it to his waist. "Much better."
Blue finally hurried down the stairs to eat his breakfast. He smelled the wonderfully familiar scent. "Did you cook waffles, bacon, and scrambled eggs?!" he asked excitedly. "Please tell me you did!"
Unlike Red, Blue preferred waffles over pancakes. His sister rolled her eyes. "Yes, I did. I knew you'd want you favorite breakfast on your most important day," she said. "Plus, you'll need all the energy you can get for your first day out in the wilderness." Daisy loved and worried about her little brother, and the feeling was mutual, although neither had ever admitted it.
As Blue finished off his breakfast and opened the door to leave, his sister pulled him into a hug. "Remember to be careful out there, Blue," his sister said worriedly. "And remember that, even if I never tell you, I love you and I am very proud of you."
Blue was speechless, something that, to Red's dismay, doesn't happen very often. He returned the hug. "Thank you. I love you too, sis. I promise I'll be careful. And I'll call every day to check on you guys," Blue said as he released his sister. "Tell mom and dad I love them whenever they call." With that he opened the door and started running towards the Pokemon lab.
Red and Blue both arrived at the lab at the same time. "Blue! This is the day," Red says enthusiastically. "We are finally getting our Pokemon!" Blue was just as excited. "I know, dude. I barely slept last night," Blue said smiling. "You have any idea of what Pokemon gramps might have for us? " Red had been wandering that himself for over a month. "I don't know, man. Let's just go in already! Oh and I finally got the com watch," Red said showing Blue his watch. "Care to teach me how to use it later?" Blue had already gotten it a few weeks ago. "Yeah, sure. But remember I have little patience for teaching."
They began going into the lab, where Professor Oak was waiting for them. The Professor began speaking as they entered. "Hello boys. Prepare to enter the world of Pokemon!"

Thomas was on his way to Lavander Town. Back at HQ, they had told him and his partner, Joe, that there was a rampaging Rhydon in Lavander Town. They quickly got on their Jeep and headed towards the city. The Pokemon Ranger main HQ was located in the middle of the Kanto Region, so that they could be at the heart of the region and be able to get to certain places in the shortest amount of time. The main HQ was for the most skilled, elite Rangers, and Red's father happened to be one of them. Of course there were outposts all throughout the region, but when the job was too hard, they sent in the elite.
Thomas' Pokemon team consisted of a Gyarados, an Ampharos, a Magcargo, a Victreebel, a Machamp, and a Fearow. His Pokemon were all pretty powerful, and would be able to help him in most situations. He had made sure to train them hard, and to take good care of them all, and had developed a deep friendship all of them. He had also tried to get a team of varied types, to have an advantage to as many types as possible.
"Hey, Tom. How long until we get to Lavander?" asked Thomas' partner, Joe. Thomas had 35 years, and Joe only had 28. Joe also had his own family, and an 5 year old boy. "Only 5 more minutes, Joe. But don't worry, we'll get there on time," said a slightly worried Tom. "We're going as fast as we possibly can."
Part of a ranger's life was having to deal with distances. They would always worry if they would get there on time, or if, while they're being slow, someone dies at the hands of a angry wild Pokemon.
When they finally arrived, they instantly saw the Rhydon. It was big, muscular, and powerful, and had leveled a few house already. Joe and Tom saw a couple regular Rangers trying to stop the wild Pokemon to no avail.
Tom immediately sprang into action. "Go, Gyarados!"A/N Sorry there hasn't been much Pokemon action, or appearances for Leaf, but that will all change next chapter. Tune in to see what happens next on Red's journey, and to see what happens with his dad in Lavender Town. Remember to send me your feedback via messages or comments. Read on!
