The Lizard With The Flaming Tail

"Which one will you choose?" the Professor asked. Red was thoughtful for a moment. "You guys can go on ahead and choose first, since you've been here much longer than me,"Leaf said. "Plus, it was originally only you guys."

"Well, you can choose first, Red," Blue said quickly. Red looked unsure. "You guys sure?" They both nodded. "Alright. Thanks guys. Um... I guess I choose Charmander." Red picked up the lizard's poke ball. "Charmander. The lizard Pokemon. You should raise this one with patience," said Oak. Blue immediately stepped up and picked up Squirtle's poke ball. "I guess I'll choose this one!" he screamed.

"Did you let me pick first just so that you could choose the one with the type advantage?" Red asked curiously. "What?! How can you even think so lowly of me?" Blue asked in mock hurt. Leaf giggled. "I wanted Squirtle, anyways!" he exclaimed while caressing the poke ball. Red rolled his eyes while Leaf laughed.

"YAY! I get Bulbasaur!" Leaf exclaimed happily add she grabbed the poke ball.

"Well, now that you guys have your very own Pokemon, the next step is releasing them. I believe you've all seen how it's done. Just aim the poke ball at the ground about ten feet away from you. Try throwing it in a straight line. Then, when the ball makes contact with the floor, it will open and release the Pokemon inside. The poke ball then will be sent flying towards you with some force, so you better brace your arms for the catch," Oak explained.

Red instantly threw his poke ball. "Charmander, I choose you!" When the poke ball made contact with the floor, it released the Pokemon in a flash of white bluish energy. Then, it materialized into the red lizard from the screen before. "Charmander!" it exclaimed. The flame on the tip of its tail was burning brightly with excitement. "Woah," they all said in unison. "I can't believe I finally have a Pokemon," Red said, still amazed. "I'm finally a trainer!"

Blue was next to release his Squirtle. "Squirtle, I choose you!" The blue turtle materialized with a big smile. "Squirtle!" Blue also had a smile. "Awesome!" he exclaimed. "My very first pokemon!"

Leaf was last. She seemed a bit unsure and nervous. "Go ahead, Leaf," said Oak. "Don't worry, you'll be fine." Leaf took a deep breath, and threw her poke ball. "Go, Bulbasaur. I choose you!" The reptilian-like Pokemon with a bulb on its back came out. "Bulbasaur!" it exclaimed. "Oh my god it's so cute!" Leaf shrieked, then picked up her new best friend. "You and I will be the greatest of friends."
Oak began talking again. "Now is the time! Your Pokemon adventure BEGINS!"
