"Prepare to enter the world of Pokemon!" said Professor Oak enthusiastically. Red and Blue both had the biggest smiles in the world. Just then, something in the corner of Red's eye caught his attention. There on his left stood a girl with a white hat that was similar to Red's cap, except that her's had the colors inverted. She looked about their age. She wore a blue shirt with black rims, a red skirt, blue socks that almost reached the top of her knees, and red and white shoes. She had brown hair and eyes, just like Red. Red just kept staring, while Blue chuckled at Red's expression. "Hi," she said timidly. "My name is Leaf." Blue extended his hand towards her. She took it and shook it. "Hi, my name's Blue. This here is Red. He got dropped in his head as a child," Blue said with a smirk on his face.
Red finally snapped out of his daydream and came back to reality. "Huh? Oh, right, sorry. Um, my name's Red. And I did NOT get dropped as a child," he said, also extending his hand and glaring at Blue. Leaf giggled.
"Are you here to get your Pokemon, too?" they said simultaneously, and they both looked at each other. "Yeah! I just recently moved here to Pallet Town, and Professor Oak kindly offered to give me a Pokemon."
"Well it's no problem at all, Leaf," chuckled the Professor. "Besides, I had three Pokemon, so it was better to give the other one a home." This reminded Red of why they were there in the first place. "Speaking of which, Professor, can we get our Pokemon now?" Red asked. "Yeah gramps! What's the hold up?" Blue questioned. This caused the Professor to chuckle. "Oh, you two, pushy as always! Anyways, without further ado, here are the Pokemon!" exclaimed the Professor, as he showed them a case with three poke balls in it.
"Charmander!" screamed Professor Oak while a red lizard with a flame on its tail appears in the screen behind him. Then the Professor continued. "Squirtle!" A blue turtle like Pokemon appeared next. "Bulbasaur!" Finally, a green reptilian like Pokemon with a plant bulb on its back appeared. "Woaaaah," they all said in awe. "The green one is sooo cute!" squealed Leaf. Well I know which one she wants, Red thought to himself. And I also know which one I want. The Professor then began speaking again. "Well then, go ahead and choose! Which one of you will choose first? Which one will you choose?"

"Go, Gyarados!" Tom screamed as he threw his poke ball at the ground. When the poke ball opened, a giant, dragon-like, blue serpent came out of it roaring. Joe threw one of his poke balls as well. "Go, Tentacruel!" A 5' 11" jellyfish-like Pokemon burst out of the poke ball. "What's the plan, boss!" he asked Tom. "You go left, I go right! Gyarados, use hydro pump!" A very powerful blast of water shot right out of the Pokemon's gaping mouth and hit the Rhydon on the right. "Tentacruel, bubble beam!" This attack hit on the left. The wild Rhydon roared in pain and fell unconscious on the ground, not being able to take both hits at once. "Poke ball, go!" Tom threw a poke ball at it, and caught it."Here, Joe. Tell officer Jenny to send it to a reserve or something. She can take care of things on her own now. And tell the other Rangers to help with the wounded." Joe nodded and headed towards the officer Jenny and the other Rangers. Man, these Pokemon attacks are happening more often than ever over the past few weeks, Tom thought to himself.
After he and Joe were done helping with a few more things, they headed to HQ. We'll figure out what's going on soon enough.
