Today is one of the greatest day for bands, in history - 'Battle Of The Bands.' It starts in two hours and we are all so excited we are falling out of our chairs. Litterally - Zeke is on the floor.
Anyway we have wrote some hit new songs to sing and some news to suprise the crowd with.
We have ten songs we have prepared for tonight: Bulletproof, Awake and Alive, Counting Stars, Love Runs Out, Stop and Stare, The Last night, Radiator, One Thing, 3,000 Miles, and Cool Kids. (Artist at the end of chapter.) They are all brand new ones on our album and I am stoked to sing them, even though i have those interesting solos im still excited.
The show starts soon and Its time to head to the dressing rooms. I walk into mine and see that Christina has already set out my outfit: Light gray dress, Black long sided vest, red and black checkers scarf and blackish gray boots. Also I have to curl my hair. Okay, i have some work to do.
I slip on the dress, vest, scarf, socks and boots. I look in the mirror, not to shabby. But it is like thirty degrees outside and this dress doesnt even reach my knees. I hope i dont get too cold. I sit down at my vanity and start curling my long blonde hair, combing each section out before curling. When im almost finished Tobias walks into my room, "Hey, Beautiful." He says kissing my cheek and taking a seat at the mini couch next to my vanity. I grin, "Sup, handsome?" I grab another section of my hair and wrap it around the burning metal.
"Not much, i just wanted to see my wonderful girl, what about you?" He says, grabbing one of the doughnuts I was given. "Hey! Thats my doughnut!"I say pouting. He grins, "I will share with you babe, dont worry." I nod, but in reality all i can think about is how he called me 'babe'. Which I know its retarted but it just gives me this warm feeling. I sigh to myself and start on the last esection of my hair.
Once im finished it gives me time to see what Tobias is wearing: Black jeans, combat boots, and a gray T-shirt. His hair is spiked up in the front and he looks good. He smirks at me, "Like what you see?" He says spinning around in a slow circle. I nod and stand up, giving him a huge hug. He hugs me back, spinning me around in fast circles. When he sets me down I put his face in my hands and smash my lips to his, he dips me down and i laugh into his mouth, trying not to fall. He pulls away from me and winks - grinning ear to ear. I shake my head at him and follow him out onto the stage.
Each band competeing in Battle of the Bands are sitting on the sides of the stage, in the first two rows. There are only a couple bands i can recognize, like: OneDirection, The Dauntless Dudes, Emblem3, OneRepublic, Family Force 5, Romantic Idols, Little Mix, Fifth Harmony. There are a few other bands but i dont know who they are. The speaker walks on the stage wearing a suit and holding a red microphone. "Welcome to Battle of the Bands!" He yells into the microphone, his cheeky English accent making it hard to understand. "Today, we will find out who the greatest pop band is for the year 2015!" He says, everyone cheers, i look at Tobias in the seat next to me and he kisses my cheek then starts clapping. I join him, this is a serious day. "We have many bands here, that are just....outstanding! I was so excited when i got the call from Jeffrey - the cordinator of this event - saying that he wants me to host it! I mean come on im Jimmy Fallon!" Everyone claps again and whistles.
"Okay, shall we get started?" more cheers. "So we have put the names of everyband here in this top hat, i will draw one name out and whoever that is will start this thing - which would be awesome! Ready....?" All of the bands stand up and Tobias wraps his arm around my waist. Jimmy slowly sticks his hand in the hat and slowly pulls is out, making us cringe. He opens it like a freaking turtle. Once he reads it his eyes widen and he grins, "One of my personal favorites........Fearless!" I jump up and down and follow Tobias up to the stage top meet Jimmy, while Zeke, Uriah and Lynn following.
Once we reach the stage Jimmy pulls all of us in for a hug, "Are you excited about being the first band to perform in battle of the bands!?" Jimmy asks, putting the microphone by my mouth. I nod, grinning, "Yes, oh my gosh yes! We are so excited for today, once we got the letter saying we were invited to Battle of the Bands we had a count down of days, we are really stoked to perform some of our new songs and find out whos the best." I say, he nods. He asks the others a few questions and then hands the stage over to us, we get in position: Zeke and Uriah on each side of the stage, Lynn in the back, in the middle, and me and Tobias next to each other in front, while i have a keyboard in front of me and he has a guitar too.
He starts the first song,
"This time baby i'll be.............Bulletproof!"
