Chapter 6: A Beast Released from the Chains of Morality

Lucy was terrified from the uncovering of Michael's past and lost control over the Memory Transfer and went back into the real world. Lucy started to look at Michael in fear that he is a Saevus, the demon of wrath. This man...is a Saevus, the menacing eyes and the teeth! The demons that use rage for power but my teacher said they were extinct a few thousand years ago. There's no doubt, I can kill him right now. She took out her sword, ready to decapitate Michael. But then Lucy realized something about Michael despite him being a demon. But... Michael didn't even think about attacking me or raping me back when I was attacked by the demons. It seemed like he didn't want to fight me nor harm me...rather, he protected me. And he's a demon slayer, a high ranked warrior that is loyal to the Covenant with the same sword and symbol from the them, whom the demons despise them. Why is that? She started to feel empathy towards Michael because of the reason why Michael started to enrage and not the other times where he was rather innocent in Lucy's point of view. Maybe I should let him live...but for now, I need to learn more about him. She put her sword down and went back into the Memory Transfer to resume looking into his memories.

She resumed back when Michael started to become furious while being surrounded by black demonic aura. His wounds started to heal at a rapid rate. The arrows were raining down towards him. Michael, blind in rage and screamed towards the heavens while the arrows were going to hit him. He noticed the arrows and swung the air that made a powerful gust of wind that stopped the momentum of the arrows. Lucy was shocked that he used his strength just to blow the arrows away. The Persians couldn't believe what they saw, they stood still in terror of just one man with supernatural strength.

One of the Persians said, "Is that Angra Mainyu?! The god of darkness, death, and rage!".

The general of the Persian army realized the fear of every troop and said, "So he sided with the Spartan, I must tell King Xerxes that Angra is upon us."

"What do we do sir!? Do we retreat?!", said one of the soldiers.

The general thought about it, and then he decided to attack Michael.

"No! We must fight this abomination for our merciful God, Spenta! If one of you men can take him down, you will be rewarded with many money, women, and power for slaying this god of darkness!" said the general.

This motivated the men and ran towards Michael to have an opportunity to kill him. Michael heard the battle cries of the men and saw the troops running towards him. He started running towards the troops with his arms out ready to attack. A large group horsemen were getting closer to Michael, and were prepared to swing their axes. Michael kept increasing speed until he jumped unnaturally high. The horsemen looked up in confusion and the horses started to panic when Michael was falling towards them. Michael clenched his fists tightly and punched the ground that broke an enormous chunk of the ground. The impact and shockwave killed the horsemen immediately. The men saw the chunks of human and horse remains that scared the troops into going towards Michael.

"Do not falter men! Do not be cowards! We will do this for the sake of the gods! Attack!" yelled the Persian general.

Some men had doubts but some continued to run towards Michael. Michael dashed towards the enemies. The men lifted up their swords and shield and attempted to swing their swords at Michael. Michael fatally punched the troops by easily punching through the shields. The spears were summoned and were prepared to jab Michael. The spears strike Michael, but it had no effect on him, rather, the blades of the spears broke. Lucy was confused about this phenomenon. She then realized something she remembered. This is the Immortal v. Mortal Rule. It's when a divine or former divine being is immune to whatever a human can do unless they use another divine being, a godly artifact, or is exposed to spiritual energy to go against him.

Then one of the Persian soldiers snuck behind Michael and swung his sword towards him, unaware of the rule. Michael caught the sword with his mouth clenching his teeth against the blade of the sword with a furious face looking toward the soldier. Michael then kicked the soldier's legs which made him fall towards the ground. While he is falling, Michael lifted his leg and stomped on his head to the ground, killing him immediately. The men near Michael were scared of what they encounter and took a few steps back.

Michael then sensed a massive amount of life energy in the direction where the Persian Empire was. A voice that was in Michael's head then said. Destroy the source of what killed your beloved comrades. Destroy them with the power you have received long ago. Michael then stretched out his right arm and summoned a mass of red, bright demonic energy on his hand that scared and confused the soldiers. He then screamed and blasted the energy in the direction of the Persian empire. The men saw the energy turning bigger and in an instant, an explosion appeared.

Lucy was frightened of this. Such tremendous energy! He is too powerful for the Earth to handle! Why is it that the Earth still prevails from this? Wait...I heard that the Persian empire was instantly wiped out that Persians thought it was the Sun coming down towards Earth because it was a punishment from the Persian gods for not conquering the world. But it was Michael. One-third of the empire was destroyed, all the innocent victims that he killed at that very moment. While the explosion was fading away, Michael screamed again towards the heavens. The men started to panic and retreated.

The general said, "Where are you going we need to kill Angra!"

But the men ignored his message and continued to run away. Michael noticed this, and the voice told Michael. Finish them off! So Michael ran and finished off the rest of the army. The sun sets down while the sounds of screams and agonizing cries are fading away from the bloody massacre.
