Chapter 7: Light After Dark

The next morning, after the massacre of the entire Persian army, Michael was devouring the corpses of the Persians in the bloody battlefield. He was covered in blood, nearly looked like his skin was red because of the amount of blood he spilled from the Persians. Lucy felt uneasy observing him devouring the bloodied corpses and made her fear that Michael will go berserk if he turns into Saevus form again.

Then she thought to herself while looking Michael devouring the corpses. How is humanity still prevailing? Michael can wipe out all of humanity, if not...all life if he kept rampaging. I have to look after him to prevent him from unleashing that monstrous power. And I will not stop until Covenant will take notice of this situation. Suddenly, a bright light appears at a distance. Michael looked towards the light and noticed someone in the light.

The light then said, "Michael, that monster inside you has not giving you mercy this time. Has it not?"

Lucy was perplexed. Who is in the light? Is he an angel? Is he a part of the Covenant?. Michael sensed the immeasurable amount of spiritual energy and he suddenly knew who it was. Enraged, he ran after it. Ready to give a punch. But the light was too quick and went behind him. Michael was shocked and then the light attacked back by striking the neck which made him unconscious and all Lucy saw was black. Lucy was surprised by this event. Who is he? He took Michael down at an instant! Maybe if I go foward I can know who he is. Lucy went deeper into Michael's memories and went to the point when he was about to wake up.

He started to wake up and he looked around. It was dark, and the walls were stone, he realized he was in a cave. Michael was back into his normal self, covered in dried blood. He then stood up with pain from the battle before he went mad. He realized what was on his skin and was terrorized by the blood he noticed. He looked around to know where he was. He then noticed someone walking by. Michael stood up and ready to fight not knowing who was coming. Michael then sensed spiritual energy in the person, then he knew who it was. He was a tall, muscular man, wearing an appealing robe with a badge with an angelic symbol, had wavy, long, black hair, with a beard. It was a man named Gabriel, the teacher of Michael.

Michael noticed and bowed his head down and said, "Teacher..why am I here and not back in the battlefield?". Lucy became shocked by what he said. He was telling the truth! He is the student of Gabriel. With this in mind, she is now was relieved that Michael is truly siding with the Covenant.

Gabriel replied, "Do you not remember the amount of deserving and undeserving blood you have spilled out there? You went mad after your encounter with your friend's demise. Stand up."

Michael stood up while being perplexed from what he said. Michael then thought. What does he mean? I only remember fighting on the battlefield and seeing Jadd died. Gabriel grabbed Michael's possessions and clothing.

"I will explain what happened to you after I send you into a place far from here. But right now, clean yourself up at the waterfall over there. You reek of blood and guts." Gabriel said.

"Yes, sir...", Michael replied confusingly.

Lucy realized what was going to happen next and started to blush out of embarrassment. This is the part where I skip. I can't be in his memories for too long.....okay maybe one peek. Michael in the waterfall rubbing off the blood all over his body. Lucy looked in excitement and embarrassment. But then Michael was thinking of Jadd's death. Jadd...I'm sorry I couldn't save you. We have been friends since childhood. And you never left me or betrayed me like the others, you were always by my side. I know death is inevitable but there is hope that I will see you again someday. For now..rest well, my friend. Michael shed a tear. Lucy noticed this. His tears...are blood? Is it because of his demonic heritage? Maybe. She noticed that she doesn't have that much time to be in the Memory Transfer. She then skipped into when Michael was about to leave. Gabriel was waiting outside of the cave. Michael then arrived out of the cave.

"Since I'm ready. Tell me what happened? What did I do to make you be here?" Michael asked.

"Very well. After you have encountered the death of your friend. You became enraged and out of control, you then massacred the Persian army and more than half the empire in just a few hours. That is when I arrived and stopped you from causing anymore destruction." Gabriel said.

Michael was shocked by what he had done.

"Why did I do that? I'm just a human! I can't take down a whole country by myself, I was in fatigue before I saw Jadd die! Is there something inside me that I am not aware of!?"

"There is. But I am forbidden to tell you what is inside you."

"Why not?"

"All I can say that it is what makes the world going insane. But for now, I have to take you somewhere. It is overseas so I have to take you with a teleportation summon."

"Where are you taking me to?"

"It does not have a name at the moment until the mere future which was called America there is no countries over there so you won't be involved with any war."

"How long will I stay there?"

"You will know once I tell you when."

Gabriel then made a sign that made him and Michael teleport to the eastern coast at an instant. Once they arrived, Michael looked around. He was surprised by the landmarks from just arriving there. They were in the woodlands nearby an open cliff.

So that is how Michael arrived in America. Lucy thought.

"Now I have to leave. I cannot be here for too long. Keep training like how we did it, and avoid any human interactions, keep them away from any demons until the day I will give you instructions. And most importantly, do not get angry, try controlling your emotions. Do you understand Micahel?" Gabriel said.

" Yes, sir. I won't fail you, Gabriel. I will miss you. Apochairetismós. (meaning "farewell" in Greek)"

Gabriel smiled and vanished into the sky. Lucy was then running out of time. I'm at my limit, I have to return into my own mind. Michael went towards the cliff to see where he can go and sees the open and beautiful view of the New World.
