I watched the woman from the shadows. She was advancing with her friends to the corner bar. It was her long black hair that caught my attention, which she wore in a high ponytail. She said something to her friends and changed course, all alone.

I smiled. That was my chance.

I came out of the shadows with agility and advanced towards it with human step. She was coming straight in my direction. I passed an alley just as she walked beside me. I placed my hand in her mouth and pulled her into the alley with strenght. She began to cry and try to free herself. I pushed her against the wall and held her neck.

"You're beautiful." I spoke as I stroked her cheek. "It's a shame you're going to die so young."

I smiled and put my mouth around her neck. I left a kiss on it and then took out my fangs and started feeding from her. I noticed a presence nearby. I quickly recognized its scent, so I continued calmly until there was no blood left inside. I stopped holding her body, so her corpse fell causing a dull blow. I didn't even bother to give her a last glance, so wiping my fangs with my tongue, I turned to the presence.

"Thanks for letting me finish eating. It was quite an act of kindness." I smiled in his direction. "I've missed you, Carlisle."

He smiled and I ran to give him a hug. I hadn't seen him in so long that it was weird to have him in front of me.

"I've missed you too." We split up and Carlisle pointed at a woman. I was surprised I hadn't noticed her before. "Valley this is Esme, my wife. Esme she's Valley, an old friend."

I smiled at Esme but I never gestured to get close. When she smiled back at me, I looked back at Carlisle.

"Now that the presentations are done, surprise me. What do you need me for?" Carlisle laughed slightly while Esme looked at me in surprise. "You see, Esme. I haven't seen Carlisle in almost two centuries and it doesn't bother me, but we've been talking in letters for two centuries, every week. So, believe me, if he only wanted to see me, he would have told me by letter and he wouldn't have come all the way to Spain for me. Especially with you, who obviously didn't know about my existence."

"I need your help." Carlisle sighed. "But I can't explain it to you here, you'll have to wait until we get to my home."

I sighed and nodded. Seconds later the three of us were running towards the airport.
