We got out of the car tranquilly. A couple left the mansion, Carlisle and Esme spoke to them while Alistair made sarcastic comments. I ignored him and let myself fall leaning on the car.

"We'll all be on Aro's list now." I rolled my eyes when I heard Alistair's comment. "Centuries on the run, that's what you've brought me. Some friend, Carlisle."

"Alistair, Valley, come meet everyone."

"I already told you, if it comes to a fight, I won't stand against the Volturi" I ignored the discussion and approached Carlisle calmly.

"It won't come to a fight." Carlisle seemed sure of that and despite my doubts, I decided to believe in him.

"I'll be in the attic." A second later Alistair had already jumped to the top floor of the Cullen house.

"He's not a people person." Esme muttered.

Edward looked at me trying to find something that would make me dangerous, but I knew he wouldn't find it. The danger I was, was nothing physical.

"Guys, this is Valley, an old friend. Valley, this is my son Edward and his wife Bella." Carlisle placed his hand on my lower back trying to bring me closer to the group.

I nodded looking at them but at no time did I say anything. I didn't talk to strangers. It might sound like a little kid, but it was a motto I had learned over the years.

Bella smiled at me and Edward returned the nod.

"Welcome. Thank you for coming."

I stared at Edward. I had found another vampire with the same power centuries ago. So I was quite capable of recognizing when someone tried to read my mind.

"You won't find anything, stop searching." Everyone looked at me in confusion while Edward seem surprised. Seconds later they guided me into the house.

Twenty pair of red eyes suddenly looked at me. I looked at no one except the only kid in the room, to whom I quickly addressed myself. A boy with a strange smell and a blonde woman stood right in front of me, both growling.

I smiled as Carlisle stood right next to me.

"Don't worry, there's no danger. She's an old friend of mine. Valley, those two are Rosalie and Jacob, the little girl behind them is called Renesmee."

Rosalie took off slowly while Jacob continued to growl. Renesmee came out from behind his legs and approached me. I ducked and let her hand rest on my face. I saw Bella the moment the baby was born, I saw Renesmee inside her mother. I saw everything.

She walked away from me and I got up looking at Carlisle. I nodded and disappeared into the forest.
