All like statues in the middle of the forest while the hybrid girl and her mother spent what could be their last moments together.

Jacob tried to make a fire until Benjamin approached to help him. Minutes later they were all gathered around the campfire talking about history and wars. It was funny that something as tragic as a battle could bring twenty-eight vampires, a tribe of wolves and a hybrid with so many differences between them, together.

"I was in the Greco-Turkish war of 1897. It was obvious that the Ottoman Empire would win, I still don't understand why the Greeks got into it." Garrett seemed too confident in his answer which bothered me.

"Don't even dare speak of Greece like that in my presence." Everyone looked at me in surprise. They had barely heard me say a couple of sentences, so I understood their surprise. "I was born in Greece during the 11th century. And I've lived there every time I've had the chance for all these years."

"11th century? You're such an old lady." Rosalie hit Emmett on the arm for the comment. I rolled my eyes and started telling stories about Greece during the last five centuries.

It dawned incredibly fast, so we all advanced together to the battlefield.

We all stood in sort of a sequence. Each with it's clan or family and well, I among them all, alone. The Vulturi army appeared. All dressed in the same robes.

Then, the wolves tribe came out of the forest and stood between all of us.

I didn't pay attention to anything they said, I just wanted to be able to go back to Greece even if it was for a couple of months.

Edward advanced toward the army to let Aro his hand. Seconds later, he asked to see the hybrid kid. So I walked along with Jacob and Bella.

We arrived in front of them all and Bella and Renesmee moved a little further towards Aro. A sweet scent appeared in the air, I raised my head looking for the owner of the it. It was him, the boy of my memories. He was part of my human past.

"Marcus."
