"Marcus." I whispered. He raised his face and our glances met. A gasp came from his lips and seconds later, I was already in his arms. Both ignoring the battle that was about to take place.
I had never been able to remember who the boy who belonged to my human life was, nor his relationship with me. But after seeing his face and having his scent around me I was able to remember him. So completely blinded by the moment, I broke away from the embrace and pressed our lips together tightly.
Without even thinking, I snapped my fingers and stopped time for everyone except the two of us.
"What happened?"
"I stopped time." Marcus looked at me in surprise. I smiled and kissed him again. "That's my gift, I control time."
"You're amazing even as a vampire." He kissed my forehead. ""And though I'd like it to go on like this, we must finish that battle before it even starts."
Giving him one last kiss, I snapped my fingers again.
Marcus hugged my shoulders as he stared at Aro. He extended his hand asking for Marcus's, so extending his hand, Marcus gave him his thoughts.
Seconds later Aro looked at me.
"What an interesting power you have. Welcome to the Vulturi clan."
"Make no mistake Aro." Everyone looked at me surprised and Marcus squeezed his grip on my shoulders. "I am not joining your clan. I've been lonely for almost a millennium, I'm not joining a clan now."
Aro searched for Marcus's gaze hoping to find something that would tell him it wasn't true, but by the way Aro looked at me, I could tell he didn't find any of that.
A girl appeared on the other side of the clearing at that moment. Alice. They had told me about her.
That was our moment.
I stopped the time and giving Marcus one last kiss, we both started running looking to go back to a past in Greece that would never come back.
