Awkward Awakening

Sonic's POV

I woke up on my stomach and stretched. I yawned and snuggled into the couch and noticed it was really warm and I was a little confused. I realized it was breathing and panicked a little.

I sat up on my hands a little and saw Shadow under me. I only now noticed his arms around me making me warmer. I sighed relieved and layed back down smiling. If only we could be like this forever, I thought and snuggled him more.

I ran my hand through his chest fur and smiled more. He purred and smiled and held me closer. But he'll never want to be with me and would be disgusted by me thinking about him like that and would rather leave me somewhere alone than be with me.

I blushed and scratched behind his ear to see if he would wake up. He more than likely doesn't feel the same and wouldn't even think about being with me at all. I started to drift off in thought as he woke up. We stared at each other and I snapped out of it and blushed hard and broke the silence.

"H-hey, Shads."

He blushed and turned his head trying to hide it. "H-hey, Faker."

"Um..." The room was now really awkward and I didn't know what to say.

"Er, can you get up, Faker?"

"Oh! Uh-yeah! M-my bad, Shads!" I got off him and sat on the other side of the couch.

He sat up and took his blanket off and I couldn't help but look at him again. He got comfortable and noticed my staring.

"So how do you feel?" I looked to the side a little forgetting about my foot and I felt a little pain still.

"It still hurts, but other than that I'm fine," I saw him smile and grab the remote.

He nodded and turned on the TV putting the blankets on the back of the couch in the process.

"So what are you gonna do?" I wanted to know if he had anything planned.

"I haven't thought about it," he said  stopping on a random channel and was thinking about something.

I had decided to lay down and get comfortable when he chose to stand up.

"Where are you going?" I asked since I didn't want to be left alone.

He looked at me and I yelped when he picked me up, not expecting him to do that.

"Somewhere..." He said and turned the TV off and gave me my shoes. I blushed faintly for a second glad he wasn't looking at me at the moment. He then looked at me and chuckled and opened  the door and stepped outside.

A/N: Sorry it's so short and it's been a while since I posted. I just couldn't really think of anything for this chapter and I sorta forgot about it since I was busy with a new story I'm doing along with this one. I will post it tomorrow if I can't today and it's WAY different than this story and is based off another dream I had.
