Confused Thoughts

~Hey Pikas! Sorry for the late update. This chapter is gonna be different than the others and a little emotional just so you know. To the story!

Sonic's POV

I woke up and wondered if what I was gonna do was a good idea. I still don't know what my feelings are with him. I mean I don't know if my mind's messing with me or not. So it's probably for the best.

I carefully got up not disturbing Shadow who was under me. I grabbed my shoes and put them on. I walked to the door and opened it. I looked at Shadow one last time and sighed and closed the door behind me.

I had to go to my house to get something. I got there in a few minutes and unlocked my door. I found Dash on the couch in the living room and walked over to him.

"Hey, Dash. How's my little buddy doing?"

"Chao!" He said and hugged me happily.

"Whoa, someone's happy!" I said as I let him go. "Come on," I said and walked to the kitchen with him flying behind me.

As I walked in I noticed the room was in order aside from one cabinet under the sink that had the door open. I knew he had gotten food while I was gone. I dug through the cabinet and got a nut and gave it to Dash.

"Sorry I forgot about you, buddy," I said as he hugged me again forgiving me.

He then took the nut and ate it happily as I went to the desk by the kitchen doorway in the living room.

I grabbed a pen and a piece of paper. I had to write a note to Tails about what I was going to do and why.

I quickly scribbled it down and called Dash. He flew in the room finished with his snack.

"Come on, buddy. Let's go." I grabbed the note and a small box putting the note inside and walked out the door Dash following behind me.

I sighed and was still trying to sort out my feelings while I was walking while Dash was flying around doing spins and flips since he hasn't been out for a while.

I was in thought for a minute. I still wonder if he's likes me or not. I still don't know if I feel anything for him though.

Dash flew around me and smiled at me making me smile back and realizing how much I missed him. We got to Tails' house and I stopped in front of the door.

I set the box down on the doorstep and took the lid off of it. I called Dash over and saw him come from behind a bush, probably trying to find some food, and was in front of my face.

"Alright lil' buddy you have to be strong okay?" He nodded looking a little confused. "Kay. Well the thing is... I'm leaving. It's not about you it's just something I have to do is all."

He looked upset and more confused. "Chao?" I nodded hugging him and crying a little bit.

"I might not come back but don't worry buddy it'll be alright. If I don't come back Tails will take care of you," I broke the hug and looked at Dash.

"Chao chao chao!" He begged me to stay tears running down his face.

"Please calm down, Dash. I know how you feel, trust me. You have to be strong for me, okay?" I said still crying a little more than before.

He looked at me and wiped his tears away, stopping most of his crying, sniffling and nodded a little.

I smiled and sniffled and smiled. "That's my lil' Dash." I hugged him tightly and he hugged me back not wanting to let go.

"Stay safe little buddy, okay?" I said and pulled away looking at him again. He nodded as I picked him up and set him in the box. He grabbed my hand as I looked at him. "I love you, Dash. So much. Don't you forget that." I smiled trying to hold back tears. He nodded trying to hold his back too.
