Chapter 17 Revolution

A few days later...

"so... it looks like everyone in Hanseong knows who killed the Queen now...is Jidwi with the general?" the duke said looking to the people protesting outside the royal palace.

"yes your highness...and about the secondary strategy?" Dan Sae asked

"well, now that Sunwoo and Jidwi are you can prepare everything for your emergency departure, however we will need it only if it turns that Yi Rim is a liar" the duke stated

"and you your highness?" the orderly asked worried

"you shouldn't worry sweetie...I survived a revolution, I'm quite used to such thing" the duke said making Dan Sae smiling and blushing a bit.

"is there anything I may do for you your highness?" Dan Sae asked

"no thanks... tell David to bring me a cup of tea...then you can go" Maurice ordered

"yes your highness" the orderly nodded then wet away

In the throne room Do Hyun is waiting for his brother

"so...why did you call me? I thought I had to remain in my ro..." Do hyun got interrupted being slapped by Jae Joon

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE! THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF HANSEONG IS REVOLTING BECAUSE THEY KNOW WE KILLED THE QUEEN!" Jae joon shouted

"what..." Do Hyun wasn't even able to say something

"now come bak in your rooms..." Jae Joon oreded

"..." Do Hyun didn't say anything...he stood there serious and calm, his eyes were red but he wasn't crying anymore

"I SAID COME BACK TO YOUR ROOM" Jae joon shouted, Do Hyun went away calmly.

Suddenly general Yi Rim enetered the city with his army and sieged the palace, the people were jubilant

"Lieutenant Jae Joon, traitor of Joseon, you tried to make your brother king only to control him and the whole country! Leave the palace to the legit king Jinheung!" general Yi Rim shouted when he was still on his horse, Jidwi was just by his side, people were giving him flowers and gifts

"I have to talk with his highness Do Hyun" the duke said to a guard who reluctantly opened the door.

"oh... your highness!" Do Hyun exclaimed

"listen here, you're a nice person... there's a ship that will leav..." the duke was interrupted by Do Hyun who put one finger on the duke's lips

"I won't leave... I have something to do..." Do Hyun said

"no...no please no...you shouldn't do that... please...go" the duke said

"Chi won, would you please take the duke to his room?" Do Hyun ordered to a guard who nodded immediately 

After a while Do Hyun came back to the throne room, Jae Joon got crazy

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE! GO AWAY NOW!" Jae joon shouted 

"jae joon...please...we can go away... start a new life and..." Do Hyun was talking when a soldier suddenly entered 

"your majesty, the troops are entering the palace!" 

"TAKE DO HYUN TO HIS ROOMS...NOW" Do Hyun reached his room, he grabbed a sheet and a something to write 

Dong Suk... I loved you... I love you and I'll love you forever, I hope that soon or late you'll understand my feeling, however I don't think that I will live long enough to see it... sorry... for everything I did and everything I didn't do... goodbye...

Do Hyun took his dagger...suddenly Dong suk entered, Do Hyun was lookin through the window so he couldn't watch to the door

"Do hyun I wanted to...NO"  Do Hyun stabbed himself and Dong suk shouted

"Dong...suk..." Do Hyun whispered, his mouth was filling with blood, Dong Suk hugged him tightly

"please no...no no no...sorry I was a fool...I love you...I love you" Dong Suk said tearful

"I...love you...too..." Do Hyun said with his last breath... then he closed his eyes

"sorry...sorry..." Dong suk carefully left Do Hyun's corpse and too the letter that was right next to him and read it

"you aren't the one who should apologize...sorry...sorry..." Dong suk continued, his eyes were red and tears continued falling

"I hope that now...I'll meet you again..." Dong suk said when he was putting the samwe bloody dagger through his stomach.

"your majesty...Do Hyun and Dong Suk killed themeselves..." a soldier told Jae Joon who started laughing.

Jae joon was walking trhough the palace, he accidentally reached his brother's room where he saw the two lover's corpses and blood all over the floor. He continued laughing till he reached the highest point of the palace, everyone was staring at him in silence, especially Yi Rim and the hwarangs who just left the palace in that moment. Suddenly Jae Joon shouted 

"I'M KING JAE JOON... I'M THE KING... BUT ...but..." he then whispered 

"I...killed my brother...it's my fault...sorry..." he had a piece of paper in his hands, it was a letter of apology for his brother, there was blood in a corner and a lock of Do hyun's hair, he kissed the letter then he throw himself from the top of the palace

"sorry..."
