Doeun's POV
Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my leg.
"Ouch..." I limped.
He scanned me from head to toe, "What, what's wrong."
"After you tackled me, I'm practically dead." I rubbed my leg, "You did this."
Yeonjun rolled his eyes, "What does that have to do with anything, when you wrote all over on my forehead?"
I bit my lips.
"Okay! I'm sorry...but you also need to apologize for attempting to assault me." I muttered.
He rolled his eyes.
"I'm not sorry."
"Yah!" I hit him in the chest. "You jerk!"
He smiled.
"Stop smiling!" I glared. "Does it make you feel good to tease me?"
He nudged me at the side.
"Whatever! I'm going home!" I stomped off. But of course, I fell again and he had to run after me.
He sighed before saying,
"Yah, get on my back."
I looked at him like crazy.
"No. I can walk." I said nervously, "Besides, you're going to complain how heavy I am."
"Hurry!" He said.
I carefully got onto his back and I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Umhf, you're heavy."
I felt stiff, but I felt better after Yeonjun carried me. They way he looked straight ahead and had a straight face.
"Yeonjun?" I said to his ear.
"Hmm?" He turned his face towards me.
"Why are you being so nice to me?" I asked him.
He bit his lip and didn't answer.
"Aren't we friends?" Yeonjun said calmly, "That's why I'm helping you. You haven't been the nicest since I transferred."
Oops...do I apologize? I didn't know what to say.
"I'm still a little mad at you for ruining my life." I muttered.
"Oh please, that was 4 years ago. Your life looks pretty good to me." He chuckled.
I felt the corners of my mouth lift upwards.
"We're here."
He let me down at the front porch.
I sat down at the stairs.
"You're going to yell at me again right?" Yeonjun said folding his arms, "Even when I carried you like 5 miles?"
He didn't even carry me for 5 miles...let alone 1 mile.
But...I should thank him.
"Thank you." I mumbled, looking down at my feet.
I turned to my door and I opened it. Of course, my parents weren't home. They were never home.
"Woah your house is huge!" He barged into my house.
"What-yah!" I yelled after him. "Who said you could come in?"
I found him on my bed rolling around and I just wanted to hit him in the head.
"Yah! Get out!" I hit him with a pillow.
"No~" He took one of my pillows and hugged it tightly. "Since I carried you, should you treat me to dinner or something?"
"Leave." I mumbled, "You're getting dust all over my bed!" I whined. I wasn't lying, through the sunlight, you could see all the dust floating around. Ugh.
"Okay okay I'll get out..." He finally gave up after a severe pillow fight.
Suddenly, I remembered that we had to work on the project. If we weren't going to do it today, then we would never do it. We should just get it over with.
"Yah, Yeonjun." I said to the boy that was in the kitchen, stuffing his face with snacks.
"Geez you pig." I muttered, "We need to work on the project for Ms. Lee's class."
Yeonjun cocked his head, "What project,"
"Aish! You weren't listening in Ms. Lee's class, weren't you?" I scolded.
He rolled his eyes, "What, I was with my girlfriend for a date last night. Of course I'm tired."
Girlfriend? He has a girlfriend?
I'm surprised. How does a guy like him have a girlfriend?
"You're ruining that girl's life." I glared. "Stay away from her."
"Yah!" He hit my head.
I chuckled.
"ouch..." I sat on the dining table chair, scrunching my face up in pain.
"Where's the first aid kit," He asked me.
"In the second cabinet to the right." I answered.
Yeonjun took out the ointment and slathered it gently on a part of my leg. For once, he was being nice. I could see the sincerity in his eyes, as he carefully moved from step by step.
"I'll go get the supplies for the 'project', since you like it so much," He stuck his tongue out at me. I ignored him and rolled my eyes.
He brought out a large poster paper, and pencils and paper. And he also brought out a blanket from my room. Ugh.
"Why did you bring my blanket from my room?" I folded my arms.
"I'm cold." He replied and started sketching out what the project was about.
-------------------------------------
"Finished!" I fell backwards to the couch.
"Yeah finally, after you didn't even help!" Yeonjun snapped. I laughed nervously.
"Ahehe..." I rubbed that back of my neck, "Sorry."
It was true, I didn't help at all. I said I would give "ideas" but I just couldn't keep up with how smart he was. He always slept in class and always got the best grades.
Life is so unfair.
I felt my stomach growl, and I placed a hand over it to stop.
"Are you hungry?" he asked.
I nodded. "Just a bit..."
DING!
Yeonjun took out his phone and checked the text message he received.
"Hey..." He said speaking, "Beomgyu and Soobin wanted to meet me at like a ddukboki place a few minutes from here."
I twitched my eyes, "Right now? For dinner?"
He nodded, "You want to come? You said you were hungry."
I nodded eagerly, "I'm only going if you're paying!"
Yeonjun narrowed his eyes, "Aish, fine."

."Hey hyung." Kai smiled to the older male, before he sat down.
"Why didn't you tell us that all of us was going to be here?" Yeonjun asked the members.
"I dunno, everyone tagged along." Beomgyu replied, "Kai here was supposed to be studying, but you know, he bailed." Earning a few laughs from the members.
