Christine had trouble sleeping that night, every time she would close her eyes all she could see was her father standing over her. It was different when it had been Aknadin. Christine poured all her hate into destroying him. She wasn't afraid of Aknadin, but her father was a completely different story.

it was a lot like Bella's case in a way. She wasn't afraid of the man who would randomly come here those times that Bella would shut her out. no, she did it for another reason. She didn't fight back because she was protecting someone.

Christine wasn't trying to protect anyone. A lot of the time back in Egypt she would protect the servants at times, but she mostly did everything she could just to get back at Aknadin for everything that he did to her. But, with her father, he struck terror into her, She tried to protect Bakura, but her father did not seem to care much for Bakura unless he messed up in some way.

It was her father that forced her to poison her self and find the antidote on her own. It was him who would allow the other men in the village to hurt her. A lot of the times, unless she was doing chores she would be tied up out side in the burning sun and into the freezing nights, making it easier for the other villagers to get to her.

There was no escaping from him, He made sure she knew that well when the one time that she had tried to run. it had taken her a long time to heal those particular wounds.

This may make one wonder as to why she got angry at the destruction of her village. Had they not saved her from a horrible fate? Yes, in a way they had. However, being forced to watch as everything you had ever know to be taken and destroyed in front of you.

Being forced to watch as they attempted to kill the only person you had cared about in the village.

Being taken to the palace where you were turned into a slave that was treated worse than dirt by the same man who had not only destroyed your village...but participated in her tortures. Yes, Even before her village was destroyed.

How did one think Aknadin know the where bouts of her village in the first place.

See her village was not always of thugs, murderers, thieves. it had once been a village of Hebrews that had at one time been lead by a man, who's name was Jethro, Christine's great grand father. After Christine was born, The village was attacked, by the band of thieves and murders. They took over everything. Killing the men and raping the woman and children.

There had been no warning what so ever. That was how her mother, Christina, had gotten pregnant with Bakura. She died after giving birth to Christine's brother.

Christine was currently sitting up in the bed staring out into the night sky. She couldn't shake the feeling of something bad, something evil. She didn't know what it was, but she could sense it in the air.

Christine shivered a little from the cool air that was coming through the open window. She slowly got up letting the bed sheet fall off her and onto the bed revealing her night clothes. She picked up a robe and pulled it on around her.
