Untitled Part 43

the next day Bella walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. She had been updated on everything that had happened since she had been taken by the leviathan. Christine was exhausted so she was staying in the necklace trying to recover. 

She was greeted by Zorro and Sam who all but tackled her when they saw her. Laughing at their enthused reactions she went into the kitchen and poured them some food. She ran a hand through their fur a few times with a smile on her face. 

After a few minutes she turned and walked over to the fridge and stove, She pulled out a few things from the kitchen and began cooking breakfast. 

it didnt take too long for the others to start migrating down the stairs after she started cooking. It was like they were waken by the smell, which they probably were. 

Christian was the last one to make it down. He was the one that had confused Bella the most, because she hadn't recognized him, But Christine had explained everything so that she was no longer confused. 

Finally everyone settled down at the table. 

"so when are we headed back to japan?" Tea asked looking over at Yugi. 

Yugi stopped halfway into taking a bite and then looked over at Bella and sighed a little. "i...am not really sure tea" he said reluctantly. 

"what do you mean you are not sure? you defeated those soul snatchers we dont need to be here anymore" Tea said looking puzzled. 

"I didnt come here for the soul snatchers tea" Yugi replied. "i came here so that the pharaoh could learn more about his past" He explained. 

"which he did...a lot of it" Tea replied sounding annoyed. 

Bella sighed shaking her head as she took a bite of a pancake. This was not something that she wanted to get into the middle of while trying to eat. 

"is it your reluctance to leave? or the pharaohs?" Bella asked looking over at Yugi.

"why would he be reluctant to leave. we belong in Japan" Tea said scowling as she glared at Bella. 

Bella gave her a look that clearly stated 'speak again and you will find your self in the ground 6 feet under'. 

"honestly i was hoping that The pharaoh and Christine could figure that out on their own" Yugi explained. 

"figure what out?" joey asked looking at the smaller boy puzzled. 

"There is nothing to figure out" tea grumbled. 

Bella sighed. "look, There is a lot that they need to figure out. But...I will not have this bull shit in my house. Tea. you have caused enough problems. I will not have another Mana incident. If yugi and the Pharaoh wish to fix things with Christine i dont mind. But this clearly isnt the time to do it." she says firmly. 

"Christine has been through enough. She has taken enough shit for a life time. Yes....she wants to fix things. Yes she would rather be with the pharaoh again, But under so circumstances am i going to allow her to get hurt again. especially if it has to do with you!" Bella snapped. "stay leave..i dont care...but this shit ends now Gardner."

Bella picked up her plate, she could feel the saddened pull coming from the necklace. She knew that Christine didn't want to depart from the pharaoh again, but it was inevitable. weather they wanted it or not...they were going to be separated once again. She walked out onto the porch. 

Being in the same room with Tea made her want to throw something. She could understand why Christine hated her. It wasn't as if she was trying to be nice...in fact Tea was doing everything she could to push the pharaoh away from Christine. 

She sat down and finished her break fast. 

Christine appeared beside Bella. "i saw the airplane ticket in Yugi's room. they are supposed to leave today" she said sadly. 

"when?" Bella asked. 

"tonight" Christine said with a sigh. 

"I know you don't what to be departed from him again" Bella said sadly. 

"it has to happen." Christine said with a shrug. "i know you are not going to leave your job. I dont want you too either" she added. Bella looked over at her curiously. It wasn't like Christine to not be selfish. it was a shock to the younger girl. 

"maybe we will see each other again some day" Bella said trying to be a little more encouraging. 

"I hope not" Christine admitted. "i mean...it would only hurt. To be so close and then have to depart again" she explained. Bella nods in understanding and sighed a little. 

She looked up hearing the front door open. Yugi walked out. 

"so...I guess we are leaving" he said hesitantly. 

Bella stood up and turned towards him. "i figured you would be" she admitted. 

Yugi looked like he wanted to say something, Bella staid quiet waiting to see what he would say, but he never said anything. 

"I can take you to the air port if you want" Bella offered. 

"I think it might be better if we just took a cab" Yugi said. Bella flinched a little feeling the link to Christine slam shut. 

"right, um...ok...Ill call one" Bella replied looking away. 

"thank you" Yugi said hesitantly. Seeing as neither one was willing to speak, Yugi turned and walked into the house, probably to go pack. 

Bella relaxed a little once he left her alone, she made a quick call to the cab company. She opened the garage and walked in. She went over to a yellow and black car. 

"Hey bee" she mumbled running a hand along side it's hood before turning to a hyper-sport and popped the hood. "lets see how you are doing" she said as she checked the oil and various other things. 

Seeing a wire was cut she began working on replacing it immediately. That kept her busy for a good while. By the time that she was almost finished a yellow cab pulled up to the house. The group of japan students made their way over to the cab. Bella didn't have time to process what was happening. Christine took over and ran out of the garage. 

"Pharaoh wait!" she called as Yugi was just about to get into the cab. He looked over questioningly. 

Christine stopped in front of him with a nervous look on her face.

"something wrong?" Yugi asked. 

"uh...no" Christine replied a little embarrassed. "i just...wanted to give you this" she said as she pulled out a card from her deck holder, that was attached to her belt loop, and handed it over to him. He looked surprised as he took it and looked down at the card. 

"dark magician girl?" Yugi said surprised as Atem materialized next to him. 

"but why?" Atem asked confused. Christine only shrugs. she leaned over and kissed his cheek before turning and running away from him, back into the garage unwilling to watch his departure.
