Harry's POV
Okay. I could do this.
Hesitantly I opened the door, sticking my head out at first, to see if anyone was in the hallway. When I saw that the sight was clear, I slowly started to wander around in the building, trying to find the bathroom, the kitchen and the dreaded common room.
After a bit of walking and ending up in the wrong hallways, I finally found the rooms I was looking for. Although the bathroom and the kitchen both had been empty. At least in the common room someone should be there, right?
When I found the common room was just as empty as apparently the entire building. Either everyone was in their own room, outside or simply hadn't arrived yet. Well I guess because it was only Friday and classes started on Monday.
I didn't know if I was happy now that I didn't even have the chance to meet someone, not having to have an awkward encounter, or if I should be disappointed, because after all I hadn't planned on spending this day by myself.
It was a stupid idea to come here today. I could have spent one more day with my family, instead of wandering through a scary empty building. I guess there was nothing else to do, so I followed Niall's advice and decided to go check out the area.
As I left the building, I right away felt a raindrop landing on my nose. Great, just great. Sometimes I hated England and it's stupid weather. Trying to keep myself from getting wet, I pulled the hood of my jacket into my face, just so far that I was able to see everything, but not expose unnecessary skin.
Totally bored and exhausted I walked through the streets of London. After only a few minutes, I finally spotted a cool café and decided to have a closer look at it.
Mmh they had smoothies, good coffee, croissants, muffins, cake and a typical English breakfast. The perfect place for me.
So basically that's how I spent my first day in London. Sitting in a café, drinking coffee and eating cake, while browsing through some boring magazines. Not exactly how I imagined my college life to start, but hey, it was better than being stuck in my room. Besides tomorrow Niall'd get here. And I knew for sure that everything would automatically get better as soon as he arrived.
"Niall", I happily shouted and started waving at him like a maniac.
"Harold", Niall mimicked my tone, but nonetheless seemed happy to see me.
"I'm so glad you're here. Yesterday was totally boring. Seriously I did not meet a single person in this building."
"Well we're gonna change that now. But first help me unpack", Niall said determined.
"Aye aye", I saluted and we made our way over to his room, number 20.
After unpacking all of Niall's belongings, we headed for the common room. And to my surprise, a few people were actually sitting there. A boy and a girl were having a heated conversation about the Brexit. But when they saw us entering, they got quiet.
"Hey, I'm Niall, this is Harry, is it okay if we join you in?", Niall asked casually, while I was almost hiding behind him.
"Sure mate. That is Diana, and I'm Nick", the guy introduced themselves.
"So from what I heard you both are gonna study Politics?", Niall questioned.
"Oh no", Diana replied, Nick is gonna study Criminology and Policy while I'm gonna start studying Law", Diana declared.
"Nice. Harry here is also going for Law", Niall answered, and I literally felt like a small child that let his parents talk for one.
"Cool. That already makes me feel better, because otherwise I wouldn't know anyone in that class", Diana exclaimed, smiling brightly.
