"What am I to you?" Corbyn asked, tears streaming down his cheeks. "A toy you can play with but only until you get bored? Trash?"

"No Corbyn, you're not trash, alright? I'm not trying to neglect you and treat you like that. There's really no excuse for my behavior but I have been busy with college finals and work. I just can't seem to find time for my favorite people right now," you reply, frowning at the thought of him being upset because of you.

The two of you had been together only a few months but at the beginning you were attached at the hip, almost inseparable. In fact you were, there wasn't a moment that you were apart. But last week you got promoted at your job and it's been a difficult shift in schedule.
You were coming home later and later every day, but Corbyn stayed up waiting for you every time sometimes barely awake; total golden retriever energy radiated from Corbyn.

"I know that...." Corbyn said, snapping you away from your thoughts. "I just wish you didn't have to do that stuff all the time. I know I should be happy you're successful and following your dreams, I mean I'm doing that too and you're happy for me. I just miss you is all." Corbyn stuck out his bottom lip, his favorite tactic to make you feel bad for him. You thought he looked cute doing his little act so you let him.

"How about this... after my last exam we'll go on the best date we've ever had. Dinner, a movie, and afterwards we'll come home and I'll really make it up to you," you say, reaching a hand up to his face and caressing his cheek.

"What do you mean make it up to me...?" Corbyn asked curiously.

"He's so oblivious," you thought before giving him a gentle kiss. "You'll see, my love." You told him before walking off to the kitchen. He followed closely behind. "But what are we gonna do?" He asked.

You turn around to face him. "You want me to show you right now what I'm gonna do?"

He nodded quickly. You smiled mischievously and wrapped your arms around him.

You sure did show him a thing or two.
