Y'all this chapter is emotional.

"Ma, please tell me when this shit happened. I woulda bet money y'all were in love for a long ass time." Chris told, sitting on the patio with his twin and mother, passing a blunt around, it being between his mom's lips.

"And stop hogging the blunt!" Santi complained, making Chris chuckle a bit.

"I deserve this shit, lemme have it! Anyways, Sebastian was changing after I had Armani. It was like, all of sudden the sex was rough and for a while it was great, but he had these new kinks like slapping me. I allowed it, cos at the time, it was amazing. But then after about a year or two after I had Armani, it was hard to walk and bruises formed so we stopped being so rough. But the real turning point? You know why we don't see your grandma? It's not cos she stay in Mexico and don't have room, it's cos she don't like me for my skin. She hated my guts. When Sebastian married me, he was depressed for while. All he had was his mom and he didn't have that anymore." Alden passed the blunt finally as Santi leaned forward.

Chris sniffled a bit, "G ma didn't like us cos we black?" Alden nodded.

"The shit that followed, like ten years go by before he started to talk to his mom after our wedding. Alden was four, y'all were ten. He suddenly wanted y'all to meet his family and some of them did, but slowly, he grew to resent me cos in his head, I'm the reason his mommy won't love him. Sebastian hates the fact he loves me, regardless of what he said in court, he loves me and always will and he hates that. He hates that he loves me, the one who ruined his relationship with his oh so precious mother."

The twins sat there in shock, it all seeming to come together.

"So when he started to hit me, it was because his mother called him for the first time in years. I don't know what she said, but he started to hit me. That's when he was looking for any way out, so I'll leave him." Alden wipes a tear that fell from her eyes. "And fuck it hurts that I love him so much." She finally let the tears go, the ones that revealed how hurt she's been from the divorce. The twins collectively wrapped their arms around her, her body wracking as she let out a sob. She was strong, no doubt, but she was hurting.

A few hours past, Alden was alone in her car, going to the house she used to have when she was in college. She sat and watched it, a new family moving in. Memories flood, not all the good ones, but the fights, the love making, the lies told in that house. Looking away, her eyes close to relive the memories.

Taking another drive to the cemetery, she sat next to her mom's gravestone. "Hey mommy...Last time I was here, Sebastian and I came for your birthday..." she took a deep breath, looking to the sky for a brief moment. "I miss you." She told in a shaky voice. "Sebastian and I divorced... we couldn't make it work... he was hitting me... mommy, I wish I could listen to your voice one more time, feel your embrace, cos I'm so... I really need it."

A small summer breeze brushed her arms, making her hum. "He got thirty years... Armani's in a mental institution right now... she had mental breakdown and it shattered my heart, ma. She's getting the help I can't give her... Chris and Santi they're fine... they have anger issues... I might put them in anger management or therapy... but then I'll be alone, and they've been my rock. Oh, ma, you'd be so proud of them. Dad said he was gonna come and see me this weekend, so we'll see..." her phone buzzed and she looked at the screen, "Speaking of crazy, you're grandson is calling... Hey Santi, what is it?"

Santi sneezed, Chris saying, "Bless you, nigga." Santi replying, "Thanks. Hey ma. We were wondering if Chy and Tami could come over for dinner." Alden smiled, "Yeah, happily. I'll be home soon."

Alden stood, looking at her mom's gravestone, "I'll see you soon. I love you." And she walked back to the car.

"Ooh, shit. I really wanna get you pregnant." Chris told Tamianne. "Can you wait till after graduation prom?" She asked with attitude, smiling at him. "Prolly not. You so fucking fine." He groaned, making her laugh at him. "Oh, and baby?" He called his girlfriend who hummed in response. "Moms is having a rough time right now, so you know... don't ask about my pops or Mani, cool?" She nodded, feeling his hand rub her body, leaning over to kiss her lips. "Damn, I love you. You know that?" She snorted a bit, "Yeah, I know. I love you too, ugly."

Alden overheard by accident, her heart warming a bit. She knocked peered in the door, "Dinner."

Chy and Santi were on the couch, making out, not giving a fuck. "Can you not fuck on my couch? Damn." Alden interrupted, "Dinner's ready."

Dinner was great, laughs and all. As it came to an end, the twins went to go smoke, the girls helping Alden.

"So what's it like? Dealing with Santiago and Christian on a regular base? Lord knows he gives me a headache." Chy asked.

Alden laughed a bit as Tamianne agreed. "I don't know. I surprise me everyday. At some point, I gave up tryna make them not curse around me, and they gave up tryna hide the fact they smoke. We all gave up." They all laughed a bit. "So how do you know Chris, Tamianne?"

"School. We'd always been really cool with each other, and then he caught feelings for the kid and I was down. It took him long enough." The dark skinned girl smiled a bit.

"Girl I'm not stupid. Me and his daddy used to hook up before we got married. It's fine to say it. I already knew." Tamianne hid her cheeks as she laughed a bit. "Ms.Alden I don't wanna say that though." Chy snorted, "We met in the Bahamas, where I'm from. That was part of the reason why me and Santi met. He wanted some some foreign. I don't know how he still wanted me, but here I am for the month."

Alden looked at the girls as the twins came back and scoop them up to their rooms, "Open doors!" Santi called back, "If you really wanna see that, be my guest." Chy could be heard, "Shut up, oh my god!" Alden chuckled a bit.

Her mind drifted to Sebastian, one of her best memories, when the twins were three, with their grandad for the night of their anniversary. "Baby you're amazing. You're all I ever need. You and my boys. And I know we haven't been married that long, but I can't wait till we grow old and have grand kids to tell our stories too. Damn, Alden like,... I love you."

She quickly went to her room and locked the door to let the tears fall. Her phone buzzed, an unknown number. "Hello?"

"You are receiving a call from Desmond County Jail. Would you like to accept the charges?"

Taking a deep breath, "Yes."

A few antagonizing seconds past as she heard the deep breath exit. It had been a month since she'd seen or heard his voice.

"Hey... you got a minute?"
