Jungkook felt like his guilt was going to eat him alive. He was angry at himself - why was he a problem, a burden to everyone around himself? After he'd almost completely given up, he finally found someone who was letting Jungkook get closer to themselves, who was - probably - in love with him, and what was Jungkook doing? Hurting them, almost strangling them with his negative emotions...

Taking a few deep breaths, Jungkook buried his face into his hands. He had to stay strong, not just for himself, but for Seokjin too. Jungkook couldn't let himself be weak, someone who would cry about almost every little thing! He needed to get himself together and never let anything like this happen again. Whatever was this between him and Seokjin, it was way too important for Jungkook to let it go.

Jungkook heard the door opening; he lifted his head up, fear glistening in his eyes when Seokjin entered the room. Standing up as fast as he could, Jungkook rushed to the furthest corner of the room.

"Am I that scary?" Seokjin asked, his voice almost joyful, and Jungkook could notice how he was trying not to smile.

"N-no, I just..." Jungkook stuttered, trailing off as he didn't know what he should say.

"You just what?"

"I don't want to hurt you!" Jungkook blurted out. His hands formed fists at the sides of his body, his nails leaving crescents in his palms. Jungkook's emotions were all over the place, but he clenched his jaw as he tried his best to suppress them and concentrate on Seokjin.

The silence was tense as they stared at each other. Jungkook saw how Seokjin's eyes were still red, but he couldn't see the pain in them like he had seen in the living room, which was a good sign.

"Jungkook, please don't blame yourself. I know you didn't do it on purpose." Seokjin said, his voice soft as he spoke, there was no harm in it.

"I- I was so scared! If Yoongi hyung wouldn't have been there..." Jungkook only whispered the last words, the lump in his throat making it harder to speak. He couldn't even think about what would've happened without Yoongi's help.

"But he was there, and as you can see, I feel better now." While Seokjin was trying to calm Jungkook down, he took a few steps towards him, slowly getting closer. Seokjin sensed Jungkook's worry and fear, but thankfully they weren't as intense as in the living room. As Seokjin was scanning Jungkook's body language, he could tell how tense the younger was - his hands forming fists at his sides, his bottom lip captured between his teeth as he was chewing on it in his nervousness.

Seokjin kept making his way towards Jungkook, keeping an eye contact with him during the process. Jungkook looked like he didn't know what to do - staying where he was or running away.
When Seokjin was standing right in front of Jungkook, he reached his hand towards him, his lips curling up to a soft, reassuring smile. Jungkook's gaze switched between Seokjin's hand and face a few times before he kept his eyes at Seokjin's face, slowly lifting his hand up to slide it into Seokjin's. Feeling that Jungkook's negative emotions were fading away, Seokjin's smile widened - he noticed how Jungkook's body relaxed too, his shoulders getting less tense.

Still holding hands, Seokjin carefully started walking backwards, pulling Jungkook with himself until they reached the bed, sitting down onto the edge of the mattress. Jungkook's eyes got wider before he took a deep breath and lowered his face, staring at their hands.

"Don't even think about it." Seokjin said, making Jungkook look at him with wide opened eyes.

"Wha-what?" Jungkook asked as he looked back at Seokjin.

"I don't even have to use my powers to know that you're blaming yourself because of what happened in the living room." Seokjin replied with a raised eyebrow. Jungkook tried to hide his red cheeks as he broke eye contact and focused on their hands again, but Seokjin still saw it.
