Chapter 14 Saving Aki!

Haruto, Maki, and Hikaru walked out of the room leaving me and Aki alone. I walked next to Aki and held his hand begging him not to give up. I heard a movement from Amagase sensei, I looked at him and smiled in relief. I felt my hand being grabbed as I narrow my eyes at Aki from fear my glaze got swollen into Aki's red crimson eyes. I knew he wasn't the Aki I knew from the first glare. I tried to pull my hand away but his grip was too strong to handle. He quickly pulled my on to his hospital bed and pin me against the mattress I didn't know what to do. He was too strong on me. It's like his physical strength was boost up with another massive amount of power. I just watched him my eyes couldn't stop widening I was screaming for help but my mouth isn't moving or speaking just twitching with a huge amount of fear. My body didn't move my brain was completely got covered in darkness. I just felt like a wooden log just being pinned there and get eaten by this predator. I felt Aki getting closer to my neck his breath was steaming cold. My arms and legs are like frozen objects.

I couldn't felt a single vain running on his body. Then something came into my mind Haruto san said that he is running out of time does that mean his veins slowly stopped pumping and the blood flow is slowing down...so does that mean Aki is slowly dying and becomes a mindless creature. I couldn't bear thinking of something like that. I quickly closed my eyes before he sucked my energy out.

I heard a bang and two men handcuffed Aki and put a metal mask from biting anyone. I slowly opened my eyes and noticed Haruto san and Maki san looking at me with a worried look. I passed out from all the pressure that Aki gave me.

When I woke up and turned my head to the side I found out Amagase sensei wasn't there I gasped and panted softly I noticed Rei was sleeping her head on my bed and holding my hand. I smiled softly and tried to take my hand off without waking her up. I moved my hand as I woke up Rei. She rubbed her eyes and soon as she yawned she noticed me awake. She quickly gave me a warm hug and started to break down to tears "I am so happy that you're safe!" I gently patted her arm "I am okay Rei...no need to worry". Rei gently let me go and wiped her tears off her eyes and looked at me with a serious look. "I heard about Aki..." she lowered her head and mutters softly. I gulp and let out a soft breath "y-yeah... and I am not sure if we can save him..." I gripped on my skirt and started to cry.

Rei patted my back feeling upset and worried for Aki at the same time. She got up from the seat and looked at me "this isn't the time to sulk about those things...Aki needs us...we should also find a way how this happened".

I looked up at Rei and sniffled, I slapped both my cheeks and snapped out of being sad "you're right, it's no time to sulk about this...Aki is running out of time" I got off my bed and walked out of the emergency room with Rei. I looked at Rei and lift my right eyebrow "do you have any idea where they could have taken Aki?"Rei lied the tip of her index finger near her chin and lift her head up a bit "if I am right...they could have taken Aki to the Sakura safety lab...that's where Haruto san the greatest scientist show his true colors "she looked at me proudly. I tilt my head to the side "well yeah...I know who he is but...I have no idea where the heck is the safety lab is" Rei took a few steps ahead as she kept her hands on her hips.

"first of all this is the secret sakura academy building not even students can enter here without permission also this is where the Lab is...but first if this is the emergency room...we must be in the healing section..." I looked at Rei filled with confusion and frustration. I looked around "I never been to other sections before and this is the only floor I visited" I looked down completely helpless.

Rei's facepalmed and sighed deeply "don't worry...I think Ayu actually updated my cell with a Sakura academy map..." Rei looked through her cellphone "found it!" I smiled brightly and nodded "that was pretty fast! "I said with an impressed expression "Alright! Enough chatting let's go!" Rei grabbed my arm "No time to think, all the healers must be in the lab" I looked at Rei with a worried face "what about others?" Rei looked behind at me "everyone is safe, all the students in the middle school, High school, and elementary students were sent down to the underground safety rooms". I sighed and loosen up a bit "I have so much to learn before actually going around the Academy"

Rei suddenly started to run while grabbing hold to my arm. I gasped and started to keep up with her speed after all it was a sudden move. We finally made it to the lab. When we entered we saw a couple of white coat men lying on the floor mostly unconscious. we panicked more not knowing what's going on. I and Rei finally made to the section room where they were keeping Aki, we found some glass pieces on the floor and some of the doctors were brutally injured. I started to tremble in fear. I heard a yelling noise from behind before I could turn around, Rei pushed me away from the area she covered her face with her bare arms holding on to the ground without any fear.

Before she got attacked the attack was blocked by someone, when Rei slowly opened her eyes not knowing what happened. She gasped to see Haruto san was blocking the attack with his weapon. Hikaru appeared from behind grabbing Aki by the arm and slam him on to the ground. I looked at Rei and Haruto as he approached her and held her shoulder "are you okay? You shouldn't be here..." I stared at Haruto san' weapon as he used it for his attack strategy. Hikaru used his weapon to stop Aki from using anything that could harm anyone around him. I couldn't watch them fight like this, someone might get seriously injured.

Then Rei used her weapon, she folded a paper using her skills making it look like sharp glass. She pointed some at Aki and mumbles something "I am sorry Aki..."Aki smirked and grabbed Hikaru and moved him in front of him using him as a shield. Rei regretted doing it she wanted them to stop I panicked I couldn't hold myself back so I quickly rushed in front of them I grabbed my weapon and shoot a huge amount of light shattering them to bits.

Haruto san looked at me with a shock when I turned around I saw Aki biting Hikaru's neck draining all his energy. When I tried to stop him Haruto blocked my path with his arm. I tried to make him move so I could help Hikaru but he didn't budge. Rei stood there without a single word I looked up at Haruto "what are you doing!? Hikaru need us!" Haruto spoke to me super calmly "look, Aki's pale skin is turning normal...and his body started to get in heat. I guess this is the way to wash Aki's poison out of his body" I looked at him filled with confusion again. When Aki pulled away from Hikaru's neck he and Hikaru both fell on to the floor.

5 hours later Aki slowly is woken up he looked to his side and noticed Hikaru surrounded by machines. He couldn't speak because an oxygen mask was on his mouth and nose. He looked up at the ceiling "what happened...?" he thought in his head. Nanami was hiding behind the emergency room while clenching her teeth "dammit...everything went wrong...after finally, I thought it was going as I planned".

I was in my dorm room looking outside the window looking at the blank night sky "I wonder....if someone helping the bad side...and planning threats against us...even so...we can't lose..."

Hikaru- hey Aki can you pass me the pain killers? (Holding his hand out while looking at a document) Aki...? (Looks behind him) hm? (Notice Aki lying on a bed near the open window) ah... (Sighs and got up, walk up to him and put a blanket on him) get some rest...

Aki- uhm~ ( sleeping peacefully and suddenly yells)GO GO VAMPIRES BEAT THE WEREWOLVES!

Hikaru- kawh! (Scream and fall back. He was completely shaken by the surprise yell) eh...what was that... (He noticed a manga book near Aki's pillow) what's the hell is this...(he read the title) "deep love vampire" hm...(turn the book around) whose the Author...(read the Author's name) Usamaru!? Why the hell would he lend Aki an 18+ action book!?

Usamaru- (sneeze) ah...this cold is getting worst...(rub under his nose while covering his mouth with his scarf) I should ask Miski sensei to lend me some medicine (mutters softly)
