Chapter 16 Transferred student

I kept staring at Noki as for him he stared back at me, after a few minutes I asked Noki with a calm voice, "so, you're a wolf?" Noki started to reply to my question with an edgy voice, "half, I mean...well half-wolf...besides my past is pretty crap" he laughed and started to rub the back of his head, I watched his long wolf ears twitched. I tried my best to hide my giggled and the thoughts that appeared in my head, I tried to shake my thoughts off as I looked at Noki again and desperately wanting to know his past and how did he enter the sakura academy. So, I asked "yes! I really want to know about your past". When I saw Aki giving me a soft smile with a sigh, I already knew that he knew about Noki's past. Noki cleared his voice and got ready to tell his past to me. "Ahem, first of all let me tell you that I was found by Kenchi" he smiled anxiously and tried to keep his proud self-up. I gulp and jolted a bit. "You're...kidding right?" I asked him. He shook his head and he responded to my question "nope, I was really found by Kenchi". I narrowed my eyes, still can't believe Kenchi could be so kind, Anyway Noki started to continue with his story.

<The past>

Noki was unconscious under a shady tree, his dark brown hair was messed up and his clothes were dirty and ripped, he had wounds on his legs, arms and his face. He was shivering and his messy tail had some twigs and leaves sticking on to it. His tail was tugged up between his legs. He kept breathing heavily and he looked like he was in pain as well. Luckily Kenchi walked pass Noki and noticed him lying on the wet grass ground. This Young elementary schoolboy decided to help this little pup and helped him to stand up. Fortunately that little pup could get himself up. Kenchi did his best to take him to the teacher's office. The elementary school teachers looked shocked seeing Noki in a dangerous condition. They immediately took him to the sakura lab, after a week he was completely recovered. Kenchi wanted to visit him so he asked permission from his homeroom teacher and went to visit his found friend. He decided to take Noki some candy so he took some of his own candy that he brought from the sakura town visit and took them to Noki.

Noki was sitting on the bed and looking outside through the open window. Even though he looked better than how he was found, still there were bandages around his arms, legs, and neck. Some plasters were on his cheek and forehead. Kenchi looked at him and knocked on the door. Noki looked at the person who just entered his room then he gave him a bright smile. Kenchi bowed down and walked inside the room. He kept the pouch of candy on the table and sat on the stool that was next to the bed. "How are you feeling?" Kenchi asked with a soft tone. Noki asked him with another question "where am I? And who are you?" Kenchi stood up and bowed down again "Hello, my name is Kenchi Ryosuke" he said politely. "What's your name?" Kenchi asked with a curious face. "I-I don't remember" Noki muttered some words out. Kenchi looked at Noki again and asked him another question "do you remember what happened before you were under that tree completely injured?" Noki shook his head and looked at Kenchi "no...I don't remember anything".

Before they could end their conversation, Haruto entered the room with two other nurses asking Kenchi to leave the room so Noki can have his daily checkup. He agreed to leave the room and leaned against the wall that's closer to the room, he heard the doctor and the nurses speaking to each other. He muttered softly "So...he lost his memory during the accident".

When Kenchi walked away from the room and spotted Binbin and Naru speaking to each other about Noki so, he decided to eardrop on their conversation. BinBin started to speak "that hybrid...is a lucky one...I can't believe his whole family was killed by dark force..." then Naru replied "hm, from the information we got, they said that the dark force took some hybrid children with them" then Binbin started to speak "yes, I guess this wolf pup was left behind". Kenchi couldn't listen to what they were speaking anymore so he left the area with a dark and gloomy look on his face.
