Both come from isolation and both have emotionally abusive parents. They both cope with this in unhealthy ways. Adrien is obsessed with Ladybug and needs her to love him back to feel validated, and Kagami acts the same way about Adrien. They have few real personal relationships (Kagami even less than Adrien, she's only got him and Marinette), and so they idolise those people, and try to force their friendships into romance (it's the strongest connections they've ever felt before, so they think that it has to mean that it's romantic love)
Yes, they can bond over shared experiences, but in a romantic relationship they are probably going to get way too attached, and inevitably be hurt and disappointed.
