"Hey," Ashton said as he slid in the booth.
I smiled at him and said, "Hi."
"So, why so gloomy?" he asked.
I sighed. "Apparrently they are planning to throw me a birthday party next week."
"Ouuch. I feel you."
"Tell me about it. I need an escape," I nearly begged Ashton.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of everything. Now come on." He took my hand and started pulling me but I had parked myself there.
"I want to drink my tea," I said, pulling my hand away and taking a slow sip from ny cup.
"Come onnn," Ash urged me, but I just smiled behind my cup at his impatience.
When I had finally drank all my tea Ash took my wheelchair and pushed me. "Where are we going?" I asked laughing.
"You'll see," Ash smiled.

"Okay, where are we?" I asked, looking around. It seemed like a garden of some sort.
"This? This is my parent's favourite place. They own it nowadays." He smiled lovingly.
"What makes it so special?" I asked, still looking around.
Ash crouched next to me and pointed somewhere. "See that wall?" he asked.
I squinted my eyes and saw some bricks. "Yeah?"
"Behind that wall is my parent's home. Their mansion."
"Oh." I was quiet. "But what's so important in this garden?"
He laughed his beautiful laugh. "This is what they call their Secret Garden. Like the book."
"Ohh," I said, realization hitting me.
"They climbed over that wall when they were younger, and came here secretly. The owner was someone else at the time. They fell in love here.
"They shared their first kiss, actually under that tree," he said, pointing at an apple tree closeby, "right there.
"Of course someone found them once and they were taken to the owner, but they were very charming and fought their way to the old man's heart. He loved them, and he became like a father to them. He was my so-called grandad.
"Then he died and left the house and this garden to them."
I listened to Ash, and told me more stories of his parents.
"I always wanted to find love like theirs," he said quietly. Then he lowered his head. "Their love is still strong and they love me very much. But not as much as they love each other. I want a love like that."
I took his hand and he squeezed mine. "You will. I'm sure of it." He looked up to me and I smiled.
He smiled back.
