From rejection to mates

Chapter 8: Dark secrets.

Obviously, this Aroma person, is someone Allha Harlington knows very well, or he would not have just randomly let her walk right on in here without him giving permission, considering the conversation they were just having. Liliana and both her parents looked back and fourth between the two, not sure exactly what was going on as they continued to grin at each other. Honestly, they looked like two five year olds placed in the same room planning something that was no good for either one of them. She even wondered if they both had forgotten that they were even in the room with them. "Well, how could I not respond to a respected alphas cry for help!" She taunted sarcastically. He rolled his eyes, still grinning at her, crossing his arms over his chest. "Cry for help? Hardly! Just a situation about my pay grade. That's all." He stated, and they both chuckled, giving each other a small hug. Liliana looked at her parents, then back at them, clearing her throat, catching both of their attention. They both turned to look at her, giving an apologetic smile, making the alpha slightly embarrassed. She rose her eyebrow, waiting for him to speak up, finally.

         "I..... uh.... sorry about that. It's been a while. Aroma, this is Liliana and her parents, Walter and Jenna. Everyone, this is Aroma, that packs friend, and the most known powerful witch." He spoke softly and respectfully. All of their mouths dropped at once, not sure if they needed to be surprised or shocked. Of course, her parents didn't look as bad off as she did, but still slightly shocked. Aroma had her hand sticking out for quite a few minutes, and they all just stared at it, and just stayed silent. Finally, as if gaining her brain back, Jenna reached her hand out, shaking her hand mumbling " nice you meet you.", wallet following suit. The last one left, was Liliana. She could feel herself growing nervous, as the palms of her hands became sweaty. She didn't understand why she was this nervous. Just how powerful is this woman anyways.

She kept her hand in front of her, and she glanced up at Aromas face. She watched for a few minutes, letting out a loud sigh. She reached her hand out for the shake mumbling "nice to meet you.", like her mother. Aroma took her hand back, grabbing on to her other arm and rubbing. Everything became awkward once again and no one said anything. She glanced around the room at everyone, dropping her eyes to the floor. Alpha Harlington sighed, running a hand through his hair, looking around the room, thinking of a way to break the silence. Apparently, it had gotten to awkward in here for him. "Alright. Liliana we will talk more about this in my office. First thing first though, Aroma was able to get Chessy..... unfrozen, and now we need to take care of punishment." He stated, completely in alpha mode. With the mention of freezing Chessy, Liliana looked down, sad. She wished she would have known she could do that, then it would of never happened. "How much trouble am I in?" She asked quietly. The Alpha looked up at her, very confused about her question.

"Why would you be in trouble?" He asked.
"Because of what I did to Chessy..... it could have killed her." She stated. She was being truthful.

He cocked his eyebrows at her. "You we're defending yourself , just as you should. You will not have any punishment." He spoke. She nodded her head in understanding.

       They were are currently sitting in the alphas office, waiting to bring Chessy in for punishment, and to continue to discuss the person that came into her room. Aroma was also in there, since the alpha fell like she needed to be apart of this. Why? None of them know, and he didn't care to explain either. "Liliana?" Alpha Harlington spoke, bringing her out of her thoughts. She shook her head, looking up at him very confused. "Yes alpha?" She mumbled, clearing her thoughts away. He sighed, closing his eyes, putting his face in his hands. He seemed to be getting frustrated. "I had said, there are a lot of things we need to discuss besides what you already know. Are you up for it tonight? Or do we need to wait?" He asked abruptly. She thought about it for a second, before responding. "Might as well get it over with now." She mumbled quietly. He still heard her though, and nodded, turning to the others. Maybe this would be quick so she could get to bed.
